Stepping into the studio in this Golden Lion Cosplay in Office Lady style, the retro office setting with its old-school computer monitors, filing cabinets, and leather sofa proved surprisingly fitting for this Cosplay outfit. Selecting the fabric for the white shirt was critical—it needed just enough translucency to stay true to the concept without becoming overly limp, which, paired with the choker and black mini skirt, perfectly outlined the character's signature blend of elegance and sharp decisiveness. Complemented by black stockings and pantyhose, the visual focus of the Stocking outfit was further reinforced. This photo set was captured by photographer @Yongheng, as we fine-tuned various angles together in the studio. I particularly want to highlight the single-leg high-raise pose in photo 3; staying balanced actually required solid core strength. After subtly shifting my center of gravity, the resulting dynamic motion was truly striking—paired with light spots cast across the floor, it beautifully accentuated the texture of the pantyhose and leg contours. Photo 1's seated posture on the couch reflects a casual, everyday mood, holding a blue folder that fits right into an Office Lady style workplace vibe, while Photo 2's ground-seated pose leaning on one hand feels more relaxed. Since I personally place high importance on prop and atmospheric harmony, the vintage electronic equipment and storage binders in the scene were deliberately contrasted against garment colors to ensure zero dissonance.
Golden Lion in Azur Lane has always carried a composed yet slightly dominant aura; presenting her in an Office Lady style this time was an effort to infuse a sharp, grounded professionalism while retaining her iconic design elements. To me, cosplay is never just about piling on clothing, but using hair, makeup, props, and lighting to uncover fresh possibilities for a character within a specific setting. Before shooting, I spent significant effort adjusting the curvature of the wig's bangs and ends, hoping that even under sharp studio strobes, the hair would maintain a naturally voluminous texture. Blending a character's persona with modern corporate workplace elements in a distinct environment is both challenging and deeply engaging. The photographer's candid captures and scene direction offered immense inspiration—managing micro-expressions under varying shutter speeds and executing expressive bodily poses that harmonized with the garment. Though shooting schedules are always packed, the creative journey itself—from makeup styling and test fits to actual shooting and fine-tuning—is immensely fulfilling. Classic pairing elements like the black choker and pantyhose photograph beautifully under intense studio lights. Overall, this was a thoroughly complete photoshoot experience, and I hope these visuals effectively convey the blend of vintage charm and sharp professionalism we aimed to express.
