[Assassin's Wife D cosplay] Goddess of Victory: Nikke Secret detective Style, Full Firepower Unleashed

This time, I'm bringing you the Secret detective skin look for Assassin's Wife D from Goddess of Victory: Nikke. To present the best possible condition at the Firefly ACG Expo, I poured quite a bit of effort into preliminary preparations. From trimming the wig to settling on the makeup palette, everything was tested repeatedly. For the eye makeup, I deliberately chose reddish-brown tones, testing several eyeshadow palettes before finalizing one that matched her lethally alluring yet lazy gaze. For the lips, I selected a deep berry shade to enhance a cool, glamorous edge. Because this required wearing makeup all day at the convention, I used a high-longevity liquid foundation combined with setting spray to ensure it stayed intact throughout the day.

Regarding the costume, the short-sleeved white uniform shirt is styled open over an inner black lace corset, with a blue-striped tie casually draped around the collar. The lower half features a blue bodycon pencil mini skirt with high side slits, paired with a complete set of black leather tactical straps—including chest harnesses, thigh holsters, and wrist guards. My favorite detail was the A.C.P.U. ID badge hanging at the waist, which I formatted and printed myself, giving it a solid texture. For footwear, I chose glossy black high heels with leather ankle buckles to echo the overarching tactical aesthetic. Putting on the entire ensemble took about half an hour; adjusting the thigh straps was especially tricky—they had to be dialed in to the exact tension to avoid leaving red marks from extensive walking while staying secure enough not to slip during photos.

The biggest challenge was definitely the massive sci-fi firearm prop. Although lightened for photography convenience, holding it for extended periods was still exhausting, requiring core and arm engagement to steady each pose. To make the weapon look authentic, yellow hazard warning decals were applied, and the metallic finish was weathered with distressed effects. During shooting, to lock in the cleanest angles, photographer Syuuji guided my grip continuously, testing variations from dangling the gun single-handedly to raising the barrel slightly until we nailed satisfying frames. Hall lighting was chaotic with harsh overhead glare, taking the photographer quite some time to locate a corner with cool-toned shadows, blending ambient light with speedlights to craft this distinct sci-fi aesthetic.

The convention was packed, and weaving through crowds in full gear was a test of stamina. With high skirt slits, sitting down to rest or taking stairs required constant caution against wardrobe slips while maintaining poise. Although the tight tactical straps pinched and long hours in high heels left my feet aching, the entire journey was immensely fun. Many fellow fans stopped by for photos, exchanging polite greetings and pleasant conversations. The core aim was to express that compelling contrast of valiant edge and alluring elegance—purely celebrating the unique charm of the character design. I hope these photos let everyone feel the character's inherent tension. This set represents our joint effort to overcome environmental constraints on the convention floor, enriching the character's dimension through tailored cuts, prop coordination, and makeup nuances—which is truly the greatest joy of cosplay.
