Beijing in summer is truly scorching and unbearable, so when this shoot was scheduled for July 6th at Tingquan Pavilion in the South Park of Olympic Forest Park, I was actually looking forward to the refreshing coolness of natural water vapor. There is a small waterfall and stream near Tingquan Pavilion, with pleasant running water sounds and a very quiet environment, making it an absolute great spot for outdoor photography themes.

The female police officer cosplay set prepared this time leans overall towards tactical functional style. The dark grayish-blue one-piece zippered jumpsuit fits the body shape very well, and coupled with the black tactical straps on the legs, visually elongates the leg proportions. The arm badge on the cuffs and the letter print on the chest added a lot of design sense to this outfit. To fit the water scenery environment, I went barefoot this time, making it easier to create a visual effect of naturally blending into the water.

During the shooting process, we explored different positions and poses around the waterfall. When sitting on the stepped rocks with water level drops, the legs can naturally hang down, letting the flowing water ripples pass through the ankles, which, combined with a natural look back, captures a very relaxed state. Another favorite pose of mine is kneeling in the shallow water area by the water's edge, with the body leaning slightly backward or forward. This movement well showcases the shoulder-neck line and waist curve, and paired with the arms supporting on the slippery rocks, the tension of the overall frame comes right out. Of course, the photographer also tried low-angle upward shots; the impact brought by that perspective is even stronger, and combined with the extended leg lines, it's a shooting method that can well highlight presence and momentum.

Although the stream water looks crystal clear, the water temperature in the mountain streams in summer is actually quite cool, and the stones are very slippery due to full moss. When standing underwater to adjust poses, extra caution is needed to find solid footing before striking a stable pose, otherwise it's easy to slip. Fortunately, the photographer is very experienced; he helped me observe various angles in advance and guided my posture, making the postures presented in front of the lens both relaxed and powerful.

In terms of light and shadow, the natural light of the day was very soft, filtering through the gaps in the leaves onto the waterfall splashes and dark gray fabric, forming an alternating feel of light and shadow. In post-processing, the photographer used a cool-toned palette to lower the ambient highlights, making the image look extremely cool and detached, which fits the capable persona of the female police officer very well.
