This time, I teamed up with my partner @桉娴anxian to cosplay Roselia's Yukina Minato and Imai Lisa. Having always joked that my dream was to become a female voice actress, I seized this photoshoot opportunity to emulate the real-life chemistry and backstage banter between their cast members.

First, regarding costume preparation: Yukina Minato and Imai Lisa's purple-and-blue stage costumes are brimming with intricate details. To recreate that authentic stage presence, we poured significant effort into fabric selection. The purple cloth for the top needed a refined sheen without looking cheap. The sheer tulle patchwork across the chest and the draped golden chains were focal points; I specifically reinforced the chain paths and gemstone mounts to ensure nothing warped while moving outdoors and holding poses. The light-purple puff sleeves were another challenge: to achieve volume without looking bulky, two layers of stiff tulle crinoline were inserted inside—it was undeniably warm to wear, but entirely worth it for the visual payoff. Wig styling was equally time-consuming; Yukina Minato's silver-purple long locks and Imai Lisa's pink-orange hair demanded both dimensional layers and seamless integration with their forehead circlets.

On the day of the shoot, we began by outdoor waterscapes and architecture. The first half carried a more formal ambiance, demanding the characters' sharp, commanding presence. I portrayed Yukina Minato, while Anxian played Imai Lisa. For posing, we drew inspiration from the stage dynamics of their voice actresses, Aina Aiba and Yuki Nakashima—such as draping an arm over a shoulder, exchanging glances, and that behind-the-back embrace paired with a fist pump seen in the second photo. That move looks effortless, but truly tests height differences and synchronization; we tweaked our wrist angles several times to strike a natural yet playful chord.

To establish a contrast, we also dedicated a session to casual everyday interactions. Shot indoors before drawn magenta-purple drapes, this series sought to capture that laid-back relaxation of the voice actresses off the clock. I wore a black short-sleeved button-up accented with pearl chains, while Anxian wore a white sleeveless sundress. We almost identically mirrored our earlier stage costume poses, yet the shift in attire and environment created an entirely different mood. This sharp juxtaposition was something we had been eager to explore.

The entire shoot was physically taxing—especially keeping complex headpieces pinned to wigs for hours, which builds scalp tension over time. Yet reviewing the final cuts made all the prep work and coordination feel deeply rewarding. Cosplayers honoring characters involves more than merely donning garments; it hinges on projecting that signature atmosphere through body language. Interpreting the characters by channeling their voice actresses' chemistry made this an exceptionally fun and memorable experience.
