[Daji Cosplay] Honor of Kings Default Skin — The Plan to Pretend Being Charmed by Skill 2

Pretending to be charmed by her Skill 2 was indeed part of my plan, and I maintained complete control over my own rhythm throughout. This set features my Daji default skin cosplay from Honor of Kings. From initial hair and makeup testing to the final photos, the entire shoot was filled with a satisfying sense of mastery over the character.

Regarding makeup and styling, the focus was on capturing Daji's blend of playful agility and alluring charm. For the short blonde hair, I chose a wig with a fluffy texture, where the heart-shaped bangs and that perpetually unruly ahoge are the true soul of the look. The inner sides of the fluffy fox ears atop my head featured gradient shading, which, paired with the red diamond forehead ornament, made the head color contrast even more striking. To match the default skin's signature gaze—innocent yet playfully mischievous—the eye makeup intentionally elongated the outer corners and added aegyo sal under the eyes. This way, smiling or winking naturally delivers a playful, electric spark.

Outfit selection and wearing comfort were also at the core of this shoot. The classic yellow halter neck outfit of the default skin, featuring black chest paneling and gold piping, puts silhouette curves to the test. While this cut accentuates the shoulder and neck line nicely, the relatively crisp material requires specific techniques during kneeling or reclining poses so costume folds appear natural rather than stiff. Black wrist guards and red knot ornaments on the arms bridge Chinese elements with anime-style design. The most eye-catching feature is unquestionably the red fishnet tights on the lower body. Wearing them not only restores the bold vibrance of the default skin, but their material sheen and breathability also present a unique aesthetic on camera, boosting the alluring vibe alongside expressive body language.

The shooting venue chosen was an indoor studio set with a rich, classical Chinese style. The background featured dark wooden furniture and rockery stones, accompanied by warm yellow paper lanterns and yellow flowers on branches, perfectly matching Daji's default skin concept of "ethereal mystery blended with warm tones." The lighting setup took a lot of thought, making extensive use of warm yellow side-backlighting on the blonde hair and fluffy fox ears to create a soft rim-light glow, pushing the ambient atmosphere to the maximum.

For specific poses and expressions, we referenced Daji's charm and vivacity in game. For instance, holding a pink heart prop with both hands while winking with one eye felt as if actually casting Skill 2 toward the enemy warrior opposite; or resting a chin on one hand while lightly tapping a cheek with a fingertip conveyed a mix of tsundere pride and subtle tease. During shooting, small wooden boxes and scattered yellow petals on the floor were incorporated as props to enrich the visual narrative. Although the concept was "pretending to be charmed," under the triple enhancement of outfit, makeup, and lighting, I fully immersed myself into the character, effortlessly displaying the playfulness and confidence inherent to the default skin. This costume truly highlights one's figure, taking some effort to wear and adjust, but the final synergy of light, shadows, and camera lens was immensely satisfying. Standing before that warm yellow lantern, one instinctively wants to put down aggressiveness and drop all defenses to converse with her—perhaps that is the enchanting magic that countless heroes in the Gorge both love and hate.
