This time I cosplayed the swimsuit version of Shirasu Azusa, leaning into a fresh, breezy summer aesthetic for the overall styling. For wig maintenance, I went with long straight white hair; to add visual depth, the bangs were cut with soft, textured wisps, and a touch of volumizing spray was applied to the crown to keep it from hugging the scalp too flatly. Speaking of accessories, the metallic halo ring overhead needed to be anchored securely. For the fruit-themed hair clips on either side, one side featured an orange slice paired with a pink-and-white polka dot bow, while the other had a purple bow with a watermelon wedge, which, combined with a colorful beaded necklace, made the overall color palette wonderfully vibrant. To tie the theme together, I even hung an orange slice charm from the necklace—maximizing every little detail.
For the makeup, I chose purple colored contacts and washed a soft pink tone across the lids, paired with eyeliner and false eyelashes to enlarge the eyes. The lipstick was a high-saturation classic red, ensuring my facial features wouldn't look washed out under the overhead hall lights.
Regarding the outfit, the off-the-shoulder black swimsuit accented with an oversized pink ribbon bow delivered striking visual contrast. White sheer ties draped over the shoulders while white lace arm sleeves hugged the forearms, lending a light, airy touch. However, wearing this at a convention truly tested my physical stamina; because there were so many delicate accessories, I had to stay constantly alert to whether the hairpins had tilted or the wig had tangled while walking around.
The second image was selected from the convention photos. To showcase the in-game interface, I intentionally held up a laptop. Since the background on site was relatively chaotic, the photographer used a slow shutter speed to motion-blur the crowd, locking the visual focus squarely onto me and the game screen. Holding a laptop for photos actually takes precise arm engagement—you can't block the screen, nor can you let your posture look too rigid. To complement the in-game visuals, I kept my expressions and gestures as natural as possible, as if interacting directly with the character on screen.
Honestly, when cosplaying a swimsuit character, the biggest concern is always the crowded, stuffy heat, so I kept a portable mini-fan on hand to cool down during breaks and prevent my makeup from melting. White hair strands easily blow out under harsh overhead lights, so I made a point of communicating with the photographer to stop down the exposure slightly, preserving the dark textures of the swimwear and the rich saturation of the pink accents. All in all, it was a thoroughly joyful convention experience; exhausting as it was, connecting with so many fellow fans who love Blue Archive made every bit of effort worthwhile. The fabric of the costume is rather unique—the black part feels similar to spandex, requiring extra care against snags when putting it on. The pink ribbon bow is also structured with crisp stiffening fabric, so storing it flat is essential to keep it in prime condition for the next shoot.
