[Janus cosplay] Azur Lane bunny girl bar charm

The overall concept for this Janus bunny girl styling shoot was to showcase a side of the character that is both elegant and slightly lazy against the background of a retro bar. In terms of clothing, this white bodysuit adopted a high-gloss material similar to patent leather, which is very sensitive to light. During the shoot, continuous adjustments to the light source angles were necessary to avoid large areas of washed-out white while utilizing reflections to outline body curves. The black bowtie and lace cuffs on the neck are the finishing touches, neutralizing the toughness of the leather and adding a sense of refinement.
To restore the characteristics of Janus in Azur Lane, I wore a sky-blue wig and specially braided a long braid at the back of my head. For makeup, blue contact lenses and reddish-tinted blush were used, combined with rabbit ear props, hoping to present a slightly intoxicated cute feel. The rabbit ears are presented differently in various photos—sometimes upright, sometimes held with one hand; this is actually to match different emotional expressions and break the monotony of the frame.
The shooting location was chosen as a bar with retro elements; the foreign liquor on the wine cabinet, champagne glasses, and phonograph provided a great atmosphere. To showcase the texture of the black stockings, many attempts were made with poses. For example, sitting on the edge of the bar counter with legs crossed, this pose can maximize the elongation of leg lines while utilizing the warm yellow bar lighting to let the stockings emit an even luster. To reflect the details of the garter belt and high heels, the placement of the feet was also meticulously calculated, aiming to be natural while displaying tight, defined lines.
The pose of stepping on the stool in the third picture is actually quite difficult. After taking off one high heel, the instep needs to be stretched straight, the supporting leg has to bear the weight of the whole body and maintain stability, and the core must be tightened to ensure the body doesn't sway in front of the lens. In post-processing, a little chick plush toy was also added as a foreground, adding a bit of playful interactive feel. The fourth picture utilizes the natural light filtering through the blinds, sitting sideways while holding a whiskey glass, with backlighting hitting the hair and arms, creating a frame full of storytelling sense.
As a coser, when shooting stylings with such specific scene settings, it's not just about wearing the clothes and props neatly, but more importantly understanding the character's state in that specific environment. In this bar scene, Janus shouldn't be overly flamboyant, but rather carry a bit of detachment and quietness. Therefore, in handling the gaze and hand movements, I tried to be as restrained as possible, such as resting the chin on one hand or gently swirling the wine glass, making the posture more breathable.
The cooperation with the photographer Maotou this time was extremely smooth; on-site, we constantly communicated about the texture of light and shadow and subtle adjustments to poses. The high-gloss material clothing, blue hair, and dark-toned background formed a strong color contrast, and every single finished photo recorded the refinement of details during this creative process.
