[Sun Shangxiang Cosplay] Snagging the CHAGEE Qingmo Guanyin Collab: Offline Store Visit & Changchun Shop Exploring

As the Qingmo Guanyin's Return series collaboration between CHAGEE and the iconic game character Sun Shangxiang officially launched nationwide on July 24, I immediately went to the themed store at Changchun Luyuan Wuyue wearing this carefully prepared Sun Shangxiang cosplay outfit. The main goal of this shoot was not only to document the character itself, but also to recreate the lively ambiance of the offline collab event, seamlessly blending the game character with tea merchandise.

First, let's talk about the costume for this character. The top is a cropped battle suit in bright yellow-green as the main tone, made from fabric with subtle sheen and drape that reflects beautifully under warm indoor lighting. The chest features a cutout design, which, paired with a black lining and light blue geometric color-blocked lines, gives the overall color blocks rich layering. The waist and hem are tailored close to the body, matched with black knee-high leather-textured boots and a pair of black-and-gold color-blocked mechanical gloves, creating a neat yet spunky look.

For the hair, I selected an iconic long, straight black wig topped with a large matching-colored bow. The hair fibers of this wig are smooth and knot-resistant, defining clean lines on camera. For makeup, I emphasized the eyeliner and color contact lenses to make the eyes look vivid and expressive. Paired with a light lip gloss, it beautifully balanced the costume's vibrant colors, keeping the face looking clean and fresh.

What attracted me most this time was the charm of the collaboration merchandise. Just as officially advertised, the drink cups feature exclusive hero-themed packaging; holding one feels less like holding a beverage and more like holding a cute prop. The accompanying folded cards and chibi acrylic badges are solidly crafted. The chibi badge, in particular, has a delicate small metal chain and bow pendant hanging underneath, which is incredibly appealing to players who love collecting merchandise.

To capture satisfying shots, my photographer friend and I specifically picked the booth area inside the store. The wooden round table and beige leather sofa provided a warm, relaxing background. During the shoot, I held the drink cup and badge card, tweaking my gestures and angles. Raising the cup near my cheek naturally guided the viewer's eye between the character artwork on the packaging and my face, creating a wonderful cross-dimensional synergy.

We also took interactive shots in the store's game-themed decor area during our Changchun shop exploring. The store's exclusive limited-time collab event ran from July 25 to July 28, and the atmospheric decor matched the game theme perfectly. Although the shoot didn't take long, every single step—from wig styling and glove placement details to the arrangement of merchandise props—required meticulous polishing.

What satisfies me most about this photo set is that instead of forcing a cool, distant aura, it brings the character's state into real-life settings through refreshing drinks and relaxed poses. While honoring the character's original setting, it preserves a genuine, cozy garden-party feel. The overall color scheme stays cohesive between teal-green and blue-white, complemented by vibrant outfit colors that instantly evoke the summer freshness of the Qingmo Guanyin theme.

In addition, for cosplayers planning to visit, featuring collaboration merchandise in shots is an extremely convenient prop choice. The drink cup design blends naturally into camera shots while instantly accentuating the brand collaboration theme. Dressing up carefully as a character and sitting in a tea shop enjoying a drink carries a wonderful touch of everyday life.
