To match the theme of the 2026 Port District Midsummer Cooling Festival, I specially prepared this Tutu cosplay styling. From the choice of wig to the costume's details, everything revolves around a cool and vibrant ambiance. The wig features a mint green hair color with a waist-length cut and wonderful draping, though it required continuous grooming during the shoot to prevent strands from tangling and ruining the frames. The bunny ears on the headwear are custom-made, with a black inner lining matched against pink edges to highlight the bunny ears features without looking overly bulky. The main body of the outfit is pure white, featuring a high-neck design paired with an off-the-shoulder cut for a visually refreshing finish. The chest is adorned with pink ribbon bows, while the waist incorporates black leather straps featuring a cross-star-shaped metal buckle right in the center, lending a subtle techwear edge that lengthens overall proportions. The skirt adopts a pleated design with an extra layer of sheer tulle along the hem, complete with built-in shorts lining to allow freedom of movement for wide poses during the shoot. The legs are paired with metal-buckled leg rings, and the shoes are white platform sneakers, maintaining a unified color tone that fits the cool summer vibe.

The shooting location was an indoor studio infused with retro amusement park elements. The background featured a wine cabinet, neon light strips, red velvet sofas, and a disco ball, which brilliantly enriched the image layering. For the set of photos on the red sofa holding a paintbrush and palette, I tried a barefoot styling, and the tactile feel of stepping on the velvet was quite unique. Meanwhile, in front of the wine cabinet and the black-and-white checkered floor tiles, I struck selfie and jumping poses with a smartphone, aiming to project a higher-energy state.

I usually shoot outdoors quite often, so indoor lighting this time required extra vigilance regarding reflection issues on white garments. The gaffer adjusted angles carefully to keep the costume's texture clear while avoiding overexposure. To harmonize with the styling, I incorporated playful details into my posing choreography, like lifting a hand to adjust the bunny ears or kicking one leg back. The most tedious part during shooting was managing the waist straps and skirt hem alignment—every posture shift required tidying up to guarantee the final frames looked crisp and neat. Overall, this Tutu styling radiates a strong summer flair through its color matching, with the mint green wig forming a gorgeous contrast against the white attire, making the entire shooting process brimming with fun.
