[Laffey cosplay] Azur Lane Bunny Girl Convention Outdoor Photoshoot Return Photos

Outdoor shooting at the Guangzhou Anime Convention (Firefly ACG Expo) actually tests the coordination of lighting and environment more than indoor venues. This time, the shoot was chosen on the roads and green belts surrounding the exhibition hall. The light was sufficient but had a lot of diffuse reflection, which places certain requirements on the presentation of clothing materials. Fortunately, the transparency of the final images is quite good.

This Laffey bunny girl look is relatively rich in details. The bright blue high-cut bodysuit features a glossy fabric, which has a prominent reflection effect under natural sunlight. The most critical part during shooting was controlling highlight blowout. To ensure the fit and visual effect of this costume, putting it on, taking it off, and managing it takes some effort, after all, this high-cut tailoring has certain requirements for the waistline.

The upper body is paired with a wide white sailor-collar shawl, and the huge white plush balls around the cuffs are my favorite part. They not only visually fill in the volume of the upper body, making the overall look fluffier and cuter, but also add a touch of agility to the movements. However, during shooting, care must be taken that the large sleeves don't block the face too much. The matching long silver wig needs to be smoothed out in advance, which, combined with the blue headband and the big, soft pink-and-white rabbit ears, makes the entire head styling highly eye-catching. The small white plush rabbit pendants on the chest and side of the waist are the crowning touches, adding some playful childish elements to this originally refreshing blue and white color scheme.

The white opaque tights paired on the lower body have a MCF matte texture, forming a great visual layering with the glossy material of the upper body, and the light blue subtle rabbit patterns on the legs also completely align with the overall setting of the costume. Stepping in black chunky-heeled Mary Janes, which also feature a small white plush rabbit decoration on the toe caps, this highly unified sense of detail from clothing to accessories significantly improves the overall photoshoot results.

During the shoot, to reflect the features of this bunny girl cosplay look, we experimented with several different compositions. While standing, the focus was on expressing the overall silhouette of the costume and the lines of the legs; the pose sitting on the silver suitcase excellently showcases the extension of the upper limbs, while completely capturing the glossy texture of the bodysuit and the extension of the white tights. Near the drainage grate and metal railings at the edge of the road, using natural straight-line elements as a background combined with a wide aperture background blur makes it easy for the character to pop out in the frame.

Because there were many other cosplayers shooting around the perimeter of the exhibition hall, we were occasionally noticed by passersby, and everyone's feedback regarding this refreshing and cute bunny girl look was quite friendly. For this set of photos, I am personally quite satisfied with the texture of the light hitting the clothes. I didn't use too many complex post-processing filters and tried my best to restore the real light and shadow relationships, counting as a relatively complete record of this Laffey look. Looking forward to having opportunities to shoot more photos of different styles at similar convention occasions in the future.
