[Dan Heng cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Imbibitor Lunae, the Bond of Chains and Red Light

When shooting this set of photos for Dan Heng (Imbibitor Lunae), I specially chose a dark scene surrounded by chains, paired with strong red atmospheric light, to highlight the character's restrained and somewhat fragile qualities. On the costume, I focused on recreating the white and blue short tunic and the auspicious cloud patterns at the waist, as well as that iconic teal jade pendant, making the detailed texture as close to the setting as possible. The wig was trimmed in multiple layers to make the layers of the bangs and sideburns look more natural, and the skin-tone blending of the pointed ear props was also repeatedly adjusted.

During the shooting process, the heavy feel of the chain atmosphere unexpectedly became a great interactive prop; whether grasping it with one hand or wrapping it around the wrist, it could naturally bring out the tension of the movements. The red light shining on the white fabric forms a very unique shadow transition. In post-processing, I only did basic color unification, trying my best to preserve the original photo's atmosphere. This time, the Dan Heng cosplay experimented with a more cinematic camera language, hoping to convey his calm, detached, yet powerful temperament.

The angle of crouching under the chains and looking up at the camera actually heavily tested the support of my neck and core, but the resulting effect was totally worth it. The cuffs of the shirt and the pant legs were moderately shortened for ease of movement, and the metal buckles on the short boots were also specially weathered. Although the overall styling leans towards simplicity, the combination of light effects and props enriched the visual layers significantly, capturing the essence of Chinese-style fantasy. During breaks in the shoot, I also found that the clinking sound of the chains was quite pleasant, giving off a natural sense of rhythm. This experience was very solid, and it also gave me a deeper understanding of the character through Cosplay photography.
