[Blue Archive cosplay] Convention Photos from Last Year — Glass Corridor Shoot on a Sunny Day

Today's comic convention is blessed with glorious sunshine once again, with the sun gleaming brightly across the venue's glass curtain walls. Taking advantage of a break between activities, I sorted through my phone album and decided to post these Convention photos shot last year. Since they were archived from last year's expo and sat in my folders, today felt like the perfect opportunity to share these photos alongside that relaxed vibe under the warm sunshine.

Many people ask me how to get great shots in a crowded, chaotic convention environment. Frankly, on-site conditions for Convention photography are often far more complex than in a studio. While this blue-and-white uniform leans toward a cute sporty aesthetic, wearing it for an entire day of shooting is no easy feat. The wig is a long style, easily tangling with the straps and tactical cords, so smoothing out the wig became a mandatory routine during every shooting break. With black binoculars hung over my chest, a retractable prop umbrella at my waist, plus the heft of the accessories and heavy kneepads, the gear faithfully recreates the Blue Archive cosplay design, but moving around and posing definitely required getting used to beforehand.

Regarding the styling details, I particularly love pairing the white pantyhose with chunky white sneakers for this White tights cosplay. To align with the sporty yet subtly nonchalant charm from the official character art, I kept my posture very relaxed. As you can see in the photos, there's a shot where I'm sitting on the tiled floor next to a trash can with my chin resting in my hands, naturally highlighting the white tights and leg contours—that was actually a spontaneous idea while hunting for a shaded corner. The subsequent poses, like leaning against the trash can, sitting atop the blue trash can lid, or incorporating the umbrella as a prop to complement my stance, were all directed by the photographer on the spot. Because the outdoor sun was intense, we deliberately sought out a corridor with large glass windows. Glass reflection is a double-edged sword: poor framing causes widespread glare, but used skillfully, it blurs the blue sky and roaming passersby into ambient bokeh, enhancing visual depth.

Especially that shot sitting inside the trash can with dangling legs and shoes kicked off to the side! Quite a few fellow fans passed by at the time and chuckled, finding it delightfully quirky. Beyond meticulously crafted outfits, the atmosphere of convention Convention photos often comes from these spontaneous, whimsical moments. While balancing a blue-and-black trash can lid on my head looked a bit eccentric, I think breaking away from the standard polished route creates far more memorable impressions than just standing rigidly.

This set from last year actually required overcoming several technical challenges. For instance, harsh midday overhead sun easily casts unflattering shadows beneath the chin and eyes. To soften this intense sunlight, the photographer mainly looked for diffuse light under architectural overhangs or used longer focal lengths to create shallow depth of field, focusing attention cleanly on the chest bow and the blue-and-white palette of this Blue Archive cosplay.

Looking back, keeping this photo set until now was a lovely serendipity. The strong light and ambient dust particles in the air gave the raw shots a subtly hazy, dreamy quality. I originally thought post-processing would require heavy editing, but surprisingly this soft haze acted as a natural sun-flare filter—a delightful bonus.

Returning to the convention grounds today and seeing the identical sunny weather and venue, flipping through these photos from last year brings immense satisfaction. I hope these archived Convention photos bring everyone a touch of breezy joy!
