[Shiroko Sunaookami Cosplay] The girl in the sports equipment room, moments of white socks and volleyballs

This sportswear cosplay look of Shiroko Sunaookami was successfully shot at Luma Studio. Instead of an outdoor location, we specially set up a school sports equipment room scene. The wooden floors, metal lockers, vaulting box, and volleyballs and basketballs scattered all over the floor filled the entire environment with a strong sense of school club life. This realistic scene presence was highly helpful for character shaping.

Regarding the details of this look, the long grey hair paired with the iconic animal ears and the light blue halo headpiece on top of the head combines the distinct traits of an anime character with the crisp freshness of an everyday sporty girl. Of course, to highlight the character's temperament, white over-the-knee socks are an indispensable element. When shooting the posture in Photo 1—lying down with legs raised high—I had to control my core strength to keep my legs straight while avoiding the dust on the wooden floor from dirtying my socks. Although the whole process was a bit exhausting, the lines of the legs and the texture of the socks were beautifully displayed in the final shot.

Photo 2's sitting pose was relatively more relaxed. I sat on that vaulting box with my hands slightly balled into fists in front of me. The photographer specially found a low perspective to shoot, which not only captured the full details of the vaulting box but also visually elongated the proportions of the lower body, making the pairing of the white socks and sports shorts look even more slender. The white banner printed with "00" in the background, the yellow sunflowers on the shelves, and the storage boxes of varying heights all enriched the layers of this photo set. The lockers in the equipment room come with a certain reflective effect, and through the photographer's lighting setup, the whole scene presented a warm film tone that is both vintage and soft.

Photo 3 shows me sitting on the ball rack, holding a volleyball in both hands. Originally, I wanted to create a lazy vibe during a training break, but out of personal privacy protection, parts of the area were covered with graffiti. However, the light, shadow, and expression capture in this photo were very spot on; the sense of detachment in the eyes perfectly fits this character's daily setting.

Throughout the entire process of this cosplay photography session, I am very grateful to the photographer for their control over angles and light. The space in the equipment room was relatively cramped. To avoid chaotic backgrounds and dodge excess equipment shadows, we repeatedly adjusted the camera positions. For example, when shooting Photo 1, the camera had to be raised near the ceiling for a high-angle shot to create that sense of space where the person is lying amidst a pile of balls. When shooting Photo 2, the camera had to be lowered as much as possible to ensure that the extension lines of the wooden texture on the floor wouldn't interfere with the main subject.

Overall, this shoot provided a relatively comprehensive recreation of Shiroko Sunaookami's school sportswear look. The white socks, animal ears, and halo elements, combined with the volleyball and basketball props in the equipment room, perfectly match the character's background and sense of story. I hope this anime-style girl photo set allows the audience to feel the unique charm of this character—being a bit cool while carrying a touch of athletic vitality. The makeup and wig styling were also fully prepared before the shoot; the greyish-white wig fibers had a great texture without looking dry or messy, and the angle of the animal ears was specially adjusted to restore the shape in the original art.

After the shoot ended, the scent of sweet oranges lingered in the equipment room, and the sunlight filtering through the window hit the smooth wooden floor, making me feel that this wasn't just a simple photography record, but a deeply immersive character experience. Moving the heavy volleyball rack and vaulting box consumed a lot of physical energy, but seeing the frames frozen in the viewfinder made everything completely worth it.
