[Myrtle Cosplay] Doctor, Let's Have a Water Fight by the Pool!

The blazing sun is scorching, and the summer atmosphere is growing stronger. This time, I finally shot this long-awaited Summer pool themed outdoor scene. The styling this time is Myrtle cosplay from Arknights, which perfectly coincides with the game's 7th anniversary milestone, making it feel exceptionally fitting. To capture that clear, energetic, yet slightly lazy summer feel, a lot of thought went into both the styling and the scenery.

Let's talk about the makeup and styling first. This white summer-themed outfit is simply a cooling miracle. The off-the-shoulder design and ruffled detailing not only look refreshing but also fit the summer theme beautifully. The white short top on the upper body, paired with a multi-layered white tulle short skirt, creates an incredibly flowing effect when walking around. To keep the white from looking monotonous, I intentionally chose a pearl necklace and a pearl anklet for accessories. This slightly gorgeous embellishment matches the overall sweet style perfectly. The straight long red hair is the soul of this look, and paired with the pointed Elf ears, it instantly maximizes the character's recognizability. The two red tropical flowers on top of my head and the sunglasses add a touch of vacation leisure.

The venue for this shoot was a specially built indoor pool studio, paved with blue-and-white mosaic tiles, which gives a strong summer water park feeling. Beside it were yellow-and-white striped beach umbrellas, wooden beach chairs, and various potted green plants—especially that areca palm, which instantly brought the entire scene to life. In terms of props, besides this blue, yellow, and orange toy water gun with highly bright colors, there was also that blue-and-white striped swim ring and the ubiquitous little yellow ducks. During the shoot, these props gave me plenty of room to express myself, carrying a powerful narrative sense whether I was raising the water gun to pretend to attack or casually leaning back on the lounge chair.

Speaking of the feelings during this shoot, the air conditioning in the entire studio was fully turned up. So even though we were shooting a pool theme in the summer, it didn't feel too stiflingly hot. Instead, there was a joy of enjoying the cold air indoors and simulating a seaside vacation. To capture that relaxed and natural state, I tried many different poses. For example, in the cover photo where I lie on the beach chair, with my legs slightly raised and complemented by the pearl anklet decoration, the lines of my body are displayed very smoothly. During the shooting process, the photographer also provided a lot of guidance, such as how to hold the water gun posture so it doesn't look rigid, and how to utilize the shadow of the parasol to create light and shadow contrast.

One shooting scene was actually quite interesting: when pointing that big water gun at the lens, even though there was no water inside, I still had to simulate the pressure and playfulness of spraying water. Moreover, if white clothes have folds, they look very layered under the light. Although this outfit is made of thin gauze, paired with pearl accessories, it truly carries a highly ethereal aura. During the breaks, I just sat on the beach chair or stepped barefoot on the floor, interacting with the little yellow ducks; the scene was once extremely joyful, just like being on a real vacation.

Regarding Myrtle's anime charm, her full-of-energy personality is actually highly suited to this refreshing summer outfit. The red hair itself is quite eye-catching, so the paired clothing uses pure white as much as possible to balance it out, allowing the visual focus to concentrate on the face, expressions, and the red hair. This white gauze attire has high requirements for lighting; it needs to show a translucent feel without being overexposed. The photographer's lighting setup was truly amazing, beautifully accentuating my fair skin tone.

I hope when Doctors see this Anime cosplay, they can also feel a hint of summer coolness from the poolside amidst their busy gaming routines. The 7th-anniversary celebration is coming soon, and I look forward to spending a joyful time with all Doctors in the game.
