Today, let's dive into the details behind this Arknights Eyjafjalla photoshoot. The cut of this pink dress is actually very flattering—the puff sleeves and the brown cross motif on the chest faithfully recreate the character's signature look. For the belt, I intentionally adjusted the knotting so it sits more naturally without feeling rigid. To harmonize with this sweet, cozy home aesthetic, I chose a light flax-colored wig. For the long pale side braid in particular, I repeatedly shaped it with styling spray and hair wax to give it a soft, slightly fluffy, fuzzy texture. The little white sheep horn hair accessories are doubly secured to the wig cap using both pins and hair clips, ensuring they stay put without wobbling or slipping even during dynamic movements like reaching up for plushies.

For makeup, Eyjafjalla's eye look was key. I washed warm brown tones across a broad area, paired with pink contact lenses to create that gentle, slightly innocent and dreamy gaze. The eyeliner and lower lashes were drawn rounded and soft to amplify the doe-eyed look. Blush was dusted slightly below the apples of the cheeks and touched across the tip of the nose—a favorite anime makeup trick to boost cuteness.

The shoot took place on a bedroom bed surrounded by plush toys in various colors, fitting Eyjafjalla's canon love for fluffy things. The three poses you see in the photos were tailored to different props: holding the suited bunny toy felt more lively and playful; resting the bunny on my lap became a bit more demure; and finally, hugging the giant blue plushie allowed me to sink into complete relaxation, adding both volume and coziness to the composition. Sitting barefoot on the crisp white bedsheets with sunlight streaming in through the blinds on the left created such a soft, natural play of light and shadow. To prevent the frame from looking crowded, the wooden cabinet and curtains in the background offered a clean balance. I really hope you all enjoy this Eyjafjalla cosplay set!

Something fun happened during the shoot: because there were so many plush toys, it was hard to tell which was the focus and which was the background, and I almost crushed the little rabbit doll several times! To capture the most natural lighting, we waited quite a while until the sun filtering through the blinds caught the side of my face and hair just right before snapping the shutter. To channel that effortless relaxation of waking up or lounging in bed, I kept my shoulders loosely dropped and avoided staring stiffly into the lens, imagining instead that I was chatting with the toys. The hardest part of everyday lifestyle sets is finding that effortless balance—trying too hard looks staged, but being too casual lacks photographic punch. The final marshmallow-pink tone owes much to the costume itself; in post, I only gently tweaked the color temperature and brightness to preserve that pillowy, cloud-like softness.
