Although Christmas has been over for a while, while organizing my photo album, I still couldn't resist sharing this set of Christmas Barbara backlog photos. As everyone's favorite healer in Genshin Impact, Barbara's classic look inherently carries a warm and healing aura. Changing into this red and white reindeer-style dress is simply a perfect match for the winter vibe.

The backdrop setup for the shoot that day actually took a lot of thought, preparing plenty of Christmas trees, gift boxes, and a profusion of fresh flowers. Especially that dark brown bear plushie next to me—whether held in hand or placed by my side, it instantly made the frame much more lively. The texture of this outfit is really wonderful; that big star on the collar and the fluffy white trim make it look both warm and playful when worn.

What impressed me the most during the shoot was the headband with reindeer antlers on my head. Although its own weight was a bit light, it easily slid off when making some high-difficulty poses. To capture a beautiful and natural look, the photographer and I worked together for a long time to sync up. Especially for the first high-angle shot lying on the plush carpet—because the skirt was quite puffy, it took a huge effort to adjust the angles and hand movements to strike a relaxed and natural pose.

I specifically requested the overall color tone of this photo set to be adjusted to a warmer side, which, combined with the natural light filtering through the window, makes me look highly soft. The colored contacts chosen were a glossy blue, paired with the blonde wig. Looking at myself in the mirror after the styling was done, it really gave an illusion of the character jumping right out of the game into reality. Moreover, I usually procrastinate when it comes to releasing photos; as mentioned in the post, I have accumulated a massive backlog of unreleased photos. Consider this an update, as I slowly share this Christmas cosplay of Barbara, which also serves as a satisfying final result for the hard work put into the previous shoot.

Cosplay itself is a process of exploring the charm of characters you love. Freezing this magical warm winter moment through the lens makes me feel very happy too. I am especially satisfied with this set of photos, both in terms of costume accuracy and environmental atmosphere creation. Other new projects are currently under preparation for the future, which I will unlock slowly over time, hoping to bring more great pictures to everyone under Anime-style photography.
