This set of photos featuring Ganyu's default outfit in Genshin Impact was shot on location at Day 3 of the Dreamland Anime Convention. The venue's overhead lighting that day was very layered, which, combined with the site's naturally cool color palette, complemented the character's serene demeanor remarkably well. Regarding hair and makeup, a slightly wavy ice-blue wig was selected this time to shape the facial contours, while the red-and-black dual-colored horn ornaments on the head provided a clear finishing touch in front of the lens. Overall costume details were handled thoroughly—the bell pendant on the neck and blue-and-white gradient textures on the sleeves were recreated accordingly. I personally love the pair of large, detached water sleeves, which add significant visual tension when posing.

On the lower half, Black leggings with gold geometric stripe splicing, paired with white high-heeled lace-up shoes, visually elongate the silhouette. In particular, the red bow detail at the ankle not only creates dynamic visuals while walking, but also enhances color brightness during larger movements (such as drawing a bow or lunging). When shooting this set, the photographer captured angles very professionally, keenly catching the halo of the venue's spotlights and using a wide aperture to blur out background crowds, fully concentrating visual focus on the main subject. This direct output under live venue lighting tested makeup clarity and fabric reflectivity, and fortunately, the final photo quality turned out satisfying.

In terms of posing, I didn't limit myself to a single mode this time. Paired with the blue-and-white prop longbow, I attempted various dynamic poses—from standing, raising my hand, and crouch-drawing the bow, to side splits. In particular, the low-angle lunging bow-drawing shot (corresponding to the cover photo) required maintaining body stability while ensuring alignment between my gaze and the arrow's direction; the dynamic feel from this physical extension is one of the greatest pleasures of convention cosplay. Beyond rich body language, I deliberately restrained my facial expressions, hoping to convey the character's signature composure and calm grace.

The atmosphere at Dreamland Anime Convention is always lively, with frequent interactions among fellow fans and photographers. During breaks in shooting, I met some enthusiasts interested in this default outfit and discussed insights on fabric texture and prop making. The venue floor was quite slick, making lunging poses in high heels somewhat challenging, but fortunately the shoes' center-of-gravity design was stable enough. Every photoshoot builds accumulated experience; for several bow-drawing shots, my arm muscles were actually strained tight, but seeing the final result made all the effort feel completely worthwhile.

Regarding future plans, while preparing this default outfit, I was already prepping the advanced look for subsequent versions. As mentioned previously in my posts, I'll strive to cosplay Twilight Blossom next time. Compared to the default skin's white, blue, and gold color scheme, the advanced version features more ornate costume patterns and requires finer detail in props and design. Relevant materials are currently being gathered and crafted; hopefully next time I can present an adeptus posture with even richer layering and narrative depth. The meaning of anime conventions lies in expressing one's understanding of beloved characters through these frozen moments, as every attempt brings fresh insights.
