Preparing this Cat girl outfit for Kugimiya Ninico took quite a bit of effort, going through roughly three revisions from sampling to final styling. Because the design clearly features animal ears, I chose a silver-blue gradient wig paired with natural straight bangs, doing my best to give the look depth without feeling heavy. For the makeup, I focused heavily on the eyes, using blue contact lenses paired with dense upper and lower false eyelashes to recreate that round, innocent feline gaze, while dusting a bit more blush across the cheeks to enhance the soft, adorable vibe.

The costume itself has a lot of intricate details: a light blue uniform base spliced with pink pleated ruffle edging at the collar, accented by a giant yellow five-pointed star accessory on the chest printed with her signature tag. Topped off with the yellow hat adorned with white animal ears and pom-poms, the overall color-blocking creates a strong visual impact. To ensure crisp dimension in photos, I inserted invisible supports inside the hat so that the pom-poms and ears wouldn't flop flat against my head. Wearing this look at Bilibili World was certainly a test of stamina since I had to constantly maintain posture, but every time someone raised a camera or walked past saying how cute it was, all the preparation felt entirely worthwhile. Although the outfit looks fluffy, the garments are actually lightweight, making it easy to walk around the convention hall. I was also constantly adjusting my poses and angles, pairing them with peace signs to naturally bring out that lively, playful personality.

When cosplaying, besides pursuing accuracy, I care deeply about overall visual harmony. The palette here is dominated by yellow and blue with generous white transitions. Under the dim or warm ambient lighting of convention halls, colors can easily get washed out, so the contrast in the makeup had to be dialed up sufficiently. The fabric of the animal ears and pom-poms on the hat was also treated in advance to prevent excessive glare under camera flashes. Every convention is a dual test of physical stamina and energy, but giving tangible form to the lively cuteness of a VTuber was a truly joyful experience. I wonder which detail of this look everyone likes best—personally, I adore the pairing of the yellow hat and the star badge; it has such a playful, whimsical charm.
