[Gura cosplay] Refreshing Summer pool Photoshoot of the Little Shark

The finished cuts for this Gura cosplay Swimsuit cosplay outdoor shoot are finally out! We chose to enter the water around 2:00 PM when the afternoon sun was at its fiercest, specifically to harness natural sunlight and capture that sparkling, crystalline clarity on the water's surface. Silver-white wigs tend to look dry and tangled once submerged, so before jumping in, I meticulously combed through it with hair treatment oil and used heavy-duty hairspray to firmly secure the triangular hair clips on both sides to prevent them from drifting away in the pool. For makeup, waterproofing was the bare baseline: I used waterproof cream foundation for the base and a smudge-proof gel eyeliner pencil, as we had to open our eyes underwater while ensuring our gaze remained clear and bright. The blue one-piece swimsuit offered an immaculate fit without shifting out of place after entering the water, with the chest graphics displaying rich, vibrant colors through the lens. That blue-and-white inflatable swim ring served as a crucial prop for this shoot; although it took up some space once inflated, floating in the water formed an excellent natural framing element.

Underwater drag was much greater than anticipated, and maintaining a natural, relaxed posture inside the swim ring consumed substantial energy. The first close-up was taken with me leaning over the swim ring; because reflections on the water were intense, the photographer constantly adjusted camera angles to dodge harsh glares while guiding my facial tension to make the expression look as effortless as leisurely snorkeling. The second shot holding up the swim ring looks fun, but keeping my body stable while supporting the weight of the ring with raised arms meant my core and abdomen were actively engaging the entire time. The entire shooting process was a constant balancing act between buoyancy, lighting, and physical poise.

The core spirit of this VTuber character, our beloved Little Shark, is pure derpy adorableness and refreshing coolness. In front of the camera, I avoided overly deliberate expressions, striving instead for a slightly spaced-out, soft demeanor. While this swimsuit isn't overly revealing, bathed in shimmering water reflections, the crisp blue palette paired with the white swim ring oozed summer ambiance. The hardest element to control underwater was definitely the hair—lowering my head often caused the bangs to plaster completely across my face, taking ages to rearrange. We took several breathers, rushing to dry off and reapply sunscreen each time we climbed ashore. The final edits preserved the tactile beads of water resting on skin and the organic texture of wet tendrils clinging along the cheeks. Shooting in an outdoor Summer pool naturally enriches the frame with organic atmosphere. Though exhausting, seeing the sunlight washing over the water and glowing across my skin made all the trials of water and sun thoroughly worthwhile.
