Finally, I got the chance to bring out this light blue dress of Rem to shoot a cosplay photoset in a sea of flowers. To match the character's signature color tone, I specially chose a light blue satin material slip dress for this time. The shoulder straps of the dress adopt a thin-tie knot design, which not only fits the character's original look but also feels lighter when worn outdoors. The skirt hem uses plenty of fabric, allowing it to spread out naturally when walking or sitting, and the fabric has a subtle sheen; whenever a bit of back-side light hits it, the texture looks exceptionally great.

To match this dress, I prepared a light-colored translucent veil decorated with purple flowers on top, which harmonizes nicely with the tone of the pink-and-purple wildflowers in the scene. For the neck accessory, I chose a pearl necklace featuring a light blue bow and tassel pendant in the center, and held a blue-and-white bouquet in my hand, keeping the overall color palette among blue, white, and pink.

In terms of makeup, considering it was an outdoor natural light shoot, the base makeup was kept as thin and translucent as possible to maintain skin texture. The eyeshadow chosen was a light pink with micro-shimmer, and the lower eyelashes were brushed slightly more prominently to make the gaze look softer. When trimming the wig, the bangs were purposely left a bit longer, slightly covering the eyebrows and eyes, which, combined with light blue contact lenses, could better recreate Rem's tender and quiet temperament.

The shooting process was actually not as easy as the final photos make it look. To find the right light-and-shadow angle, we had to repeatedly walk around and find spots to sit down within a sloped patch of flowers. Mosquitoes and insects were inevitable in the grass, and since the wildflowers were quite tall, sitting down easily meant getting poked by stems and leaves. Before preparing for each shot, I had to carefully arrange the skirt hem, ensuring the fabric spread evenly across the grass without being pressed down too stiffly, preserving a natural sense of wrinkles. The photographer used an 85mm lens with a wide aperture to blur the background, and sometimes needed to bring the lens close to the flowers in front to give the foreground a hazy feeling of being surrounded by the sea of flowers.

I put a lot of thought into handling my emotions and expressions. Because I didn't choose the everyday maid outfit, but instead wore this dress leaning towards a gown feel, my poses couldn't be too constrained or overly flamboyant. I tried to relax my body, sitting or half-leaning, keeping hand movements focused on adjusting the veil or holding the bouquet. My gaze wasn't deliberately fixed straight at the camera, but rather looked slightly to the side or at an out-of-focus spot, hoping to convey a dreamy atmosphere of quiet companionship. After finishing each set of shots, I would stand up to check my makeup, especially whether the sides of my nose and forehead became oily due to the outdoor temperature, pressing them with pressed powder in time. While touching up makeup, I would also conveniently rearrange the wrinkles of the tulle dress and the position of the veil.

Although the shooting process was somewhat physically demanding, the moment the wind blew across the veil and lifted the skirt hem, the entire frame looked exceptionally vivid. The sheen of the satin changed with the direction of the wind, forming a contrast of motion and stillness with the surrounding static flowers and plants. During post-processing, the original colors were preserved as much as possible without exaggerated color grading; the skin tone was mainly balanced, while keeping the pink-purple of the background sea of flowers and the green of the grass. Being able to complete such a quiet and atmosphere-filled set of works made all the early costume preparation and the day's hard work completely worthwhile.
