[Blue Cat cosplay] Catgirl in Black Butler: The Hammers Are Heavy but Look Amazing

This shoot features the character Blue Cat from Black Butler. The studio lighting was very ample, and to match the character's design, I specifically chose glossy Black stockings and black boots.
These two large hammer props were truly heavy; holding them tested not only arm strength but also balance. To control the angles of the hammers and my body's center of gravity during the shoot, I had to repeatedly adjust my posture multiple times to make the shot look both natural and imposing.
The costume has many intricate details, from the white inner collar lining to the blue jacquard pattern coat and the black waist corset. Beyond fitting properly, the outfit needed to stay smooth during posing to reflect quality texture. The cat ears on top, large pink flower, and yellow tassels are the key highlights of the look—they are super eye-catching and effectively enhance the character's 2D traits.
To convey the character's aura, the eye makeup was applied wider, and the gaze had to remain sharp at all times. I chose a full-body shot standing on one leg as the cover because that pose required exceptional flexibility and balance while the composition maximized the display of leg lines and the overall costume effect. The combination of Black stockings and high boots also flattered my body curves perfectly.
My arms were sore after the shoot because the hammers were so heavy, but seeing the cool, glamorous, and powerful visual outcome made everything worth it. The details mentioned here were key points I focused on during preparation, hoping to convey that lazy yet dangerous aura unique to Blue Cat through these photos.
This cosplay photoshoot experience was very unique, requiring full-body control while balancing facial expressions and prop coordination. In particular, those dynamic full-body action shots were much more challenging than standard standing poses, serving as a true test of my endurance and control.
To keep the costume neat, makeup touch-ups and costume adjustments were frequent. Although the process was busy, it was very fulfilling. By adjusting the direction of my gaze and body tilt angles during shooting, we successfully created a great sense of spatial depth. Overall, I am very satisfied with how these cosplay photos turned out.
