The biggest challenge in choosing to shoot this character this time lay in controlling the reflections of the clothing material. This kind of large-area glossy coating and metallic blue patchwork fabric can easily produce extensive blown-out highlights and visual flaws caused by reflective surfaces under studio lights. To present a cool, glamorous tech feel that fits the setting, we discussed the lighting scheme on-site for nearly half an hour, abandoning the conventional Rembrandt lighting and instead using large softboxes combined with blue light tubes in the background as rim lights. This ultimately created the clean metallic texture seen in the frame now.

The wig used a matte-textured dark blue gradient, with layers trimmed into the front bangs to preserve the character's distinct features while suiting my face shape well. During the shooting process, this bodysuit was actually heavier than it looked, especially at the stitching points of the gloves and legs. To maintain smooth lines, the internal connections were reinforced with elastic tightening, so once the entire outfit was on, my body's range of movement was actually restricted. Many poses had to rely on support points from my arms and hips to exert force.

As you can see in the photos, the white seat and the motorized device with large off-road wheels create a contrast between mechanical and organic textures, which is a part I really love about this shoot. We intentionally arranged some hanging flags with plant elements in the studio as background filler, adding a touch of ecological vibe to the originally cold and harsh cyberpunk space and enhancing the frame's breathability. During the shoot, the photographer used a mid-telephoto lens, which compresses the environmental perspective without exaggerating the legs too much, staying closer to the natural observation angle of the human eye.

To ensure a successful shoot for this set, just sorting out the costume design and accessory details in the early stage took two days. The racing suit-style connecting straps on the outfit were relatively stiff and constantly pressed against my thighs when sitting down, so I had to quickly stand up, stretch, and relax after every few sets of photos. However, as someone who loves this field, seeing the highlights flowing along the edges of the milky white and deep blue patchwork fabric in the final images, with all the fine stitching and letter logos clearly captured under the lens, made me feel it was completely worth it.

To avoid large areas of irregular stray light reflections during the shoot, we also added a polarizing filter for in-camera suppression, which saved a lot of time in post-processing from blindly correcting reflections. The atmosphere of the entire set was kept relatively restrained, without abusing cool-toned filters; instead, we tried our best to keep the skin translucent while moderately enhancing the color saturation of the clothing itself. This was a highly challenging yet incredibly fun journey of Anime-style photography creation.
