A portion of the convention photos from the Nikon offline class on May 10 has finally been sorted out. This shoot received strong support from the Chongqing Zhuoqun Nikon Official Crown Store. The scene on-site leaned toward a heavy industrial style theme, carrying a strong visual impact. Many friends were looking forward to seeing the actual effect of this glossy black patent leather plugsuit, and this session certainly met expectations. The reflection of the material is a real test for the environmental lighting, but fortunately, the blue and white neon tubes on-site and the warm light sources cooperated very well, so that the lacquer texture of the highlight parts mostly retained the feel of the physical object. Before preparing for the shoot, I always felt that shooting patent leather could easily fail, either overexposing into a patch of white or losing shadow details. However, in this batch of finished images, even the details at the chest and shoulders presented a smooth and sturdy visual effect similar to a mecha surface, which surprised me greatly.

The set construction for this shoot was very creative. The walls used a large area of orange backdrops printed with giant white letters and numbers. Stacked in front were over a dozen old retro CRT televisions, which, paired with scattered equipment casings of various kinds and blue atmosphere lights, felt as though it dragged one into an abandoned underground command center. The red and black spliced long-handled scythe prop in my hand acted as an excellent visual anchor in this environment; holding it from different angles allowed my body lines and the shape of the prop to form an interesting geometric correspondence. The character's silver-white short hair and red eyes appeared even more distinct against the cool-toned lighting, and paired with a bit of dark eyeshadow at the outer corners of the eyes, the overall look created an aura that was calm yet carried a sense of oppression.

During the shoot, the photographer found several highly dynamic camera positions, especially for that standing cover photo, where I placed my center of gravity on my right foot, lightly rested my left arm next to the television, and extended my torso, presenting a vigilant state ready to enter battle at any moment. Another angle of kneeling on one knee completely showcased the leg lines and the silhouette of the high-heeled boots, forming a stable pyramid composition combined with the scythe's support point on the ground. This style indeed places high demands on the model's body control, requiring one to keep the body relaxed even in unnatural postures to make the frame look effortless. Local Chongqing photography offline activities have always been organized very well; the equipment and space inside the Zhuoqun store are perfectly suited for this kind of Anime-style photography thematic creation. Under the enhancement of professional lighting, the color accuracy and depth of the final product look exceptionally solid. During post-processing, it wasn't over-edited, preserving the original photo texture. This highly recognizable cyberpunk industrial style work is also an excellent mechanical style photoshoot review for me. Looking back at these photos, what I feel is not just the sense of technology and industrialism in the scene, but more so those tacit moments of understanding generated after syncing up with the photographer during the process, all of which have finally been frozen within these frames.
