Today, I'm shooting Farma from Delicious in Dungeon. The visual centerpiece of this look is the white off-the-shoulder lace dress paired with the red capelet. I styled a pale blonde short wig with straight bangs, trimming it carefully to frame my face. In terms of makeup, to capture that 2D anime aesthetic, I added extra pink blush across the cheeks and eye area and wore light brown contact lenses to create an overall soft impression. The ruby necklace around my neck was custom-made, featuring white lace edging and a base color coordinated with the dress.
The photo props are a major highlight of this shoot. With both hands, I held a wooden tray featuring a red base on which two hand-holding figures stood—one in a white dress and the other in a black dress. To make these two small figurines look natural in the frame without letting my own posture and expression stiffen, my arms were constantly engaging core strength to stay completely steady. Since I was wearing an off-the-shoulder gown while holding the tray, relaxing my shoulders could easily cause the fabric to slip, requiring frequent adjustments between takes.
For the background, I used pleated white curtains, lit from the front-side using a softbox to prevent harsh facial shadows. To complement the camera angle, I tested various holding positions before finally choosing to hold the tray flat in front of my chest; this kept the figures fully visible in the shot while beautifully highlighting the neck accessory. This outfit has a lot of intricate details, such as the ruffled edges of the long gloves, the feather trim along the skirt hem, and the delicate lace around the bust and shoulders—all of which needed to show clearly on camera. Because the lace on the gloves and cuffs was so fragile, I was exceptionally careful when putting them on and taking them off to prevent snags. During the shoot, I angled my body slightly to maximize the contrast between the red capelet and the white dress, emphasizing the character's dimensional layers.
Throughout the shoot, I kept the character's gentle personality at the front of my mind, striving to maintain a calm, serene presence in front of the lens. From the initial fitting to the finished shots, styling the wig and stabilizing the props took the most time—balancing keeping the figures upright with maintaining an elegant silhouette. The overall palette is dominated by white, red, and gold, so in post-processing, I restrained the use of heavy filters, preserving the clean, translucent, and soft natural tones so the visual focus remains on the character and the props. From preparing the outfit and wig to the final shutter click, capturing even a single still image tested every bit of character understanding and attention to detail.
