The convention photos from the Guangzhou Baonly exhibition parade season are finally sorted out and produced; this look for the Asuma Toki cosplay was specially prepared for the theme of Haruhi cosplay.

First, let's talk about the coordination of the entire outfit. The upper body is a basic long-sleeved white shirt tied with a light blue bowtie at the collar, featuring a slight stacking effect at the cuffs, and a light blue scrunchie is intentionally worn on the wrist as an ornament to add a touch of casual flavor. The lower body features a double-layered short skirt design: the outer layer is light blue with an irregular cut hem, while the inner lining is a deep blue pleated short skirt, offering rich layers. Paired with pure white over-the-knee thigh-high socks and black thick-heeled loafers, this classic white-blue-black color scheme is visually very refreshing and aligns perfectly with this school-style design.

The most soulful accessory is, naturally, that huge blue concentric-circle halo headpiece on the side of the head. Because of its large size, securing and balancing it takes a bit of thought. However, the wind at the convention this time actually gave this halo and the long hair a fluttering feel, yielding highly ideal dynamic effects. To match this styling on that day, I brought a simple blue canvas tote bag, whose pure white handles echoed beautifully with the white elements on the costume.

The shooting location was chosen on a second-floor outdoor platform outside the exhibition hall, with modern white geometric buildings and floor-to-ceiling glass railings as the background. The outdoor natural light in the afternoon was extremely abundant; the sunlight penetrated the glass, bringing a transparent, clean texture to the entire frame. Since it was outdoors, the afternoon wind was also quite cooperative, so we intentionally captured some wind-swept movements during the shoot, such as leaning forward or looking back sideways. The moments when the long hair and skirt hem fluttered made the character look full of vitality.

In terms of posing, the V-sign gesture in the first sitting pose was specially designed, which can showcase the slender lines of the legs while making the entire person look more relaxed sitting on the steps. The other photos are standing look-backs and turn-arounds, such as looking back with the bag or slightly leaning forward; these actions can maximize the lateral layers of this skirt and the extension feel of the white thigh-highs. To avoid losing facial details due to heavy backlighting, we adjusted several angles to let the light fall right on the face, allowing the eye makeup and blue colored contacts to present a great texture under natural light.

There was actually quite a lot of foot traffic around during the shoot, but the photographer patiently found some clean background angles and, with the blur of a large aperture, turned the cluttered architectural lines in the background into soft blocks of color. The post-processing color grading also steered toward a bright Japanese style as much as possible, enhancing the contrast between blue and white to thoroughly bring out the fresh atmosphere of the school uniform. The photo-producing rate of this set was quite satisfying, with rarely any need for reshoots.

In fact, the atmosphere at Guangzhou Baonly has always been great, with everyone cosplaying their favorite characters and taking convention photos for each other; the fellow hobbyists met during the convention were all highly friendly. This Haruhi cosplay activity perfectly combined the character with the outdoor sunlight, making it a truly happy shooting experience. Not rushing, not being crowded, and being able to quiet the mind to slowly find the camera presence in one spot is the key to taking a great set of photos under the Blue Archive theme.
