Finally sorted through part of these Convention photos for this Aemeath Cosplay. Lighting on the convention floor is genuinely a major challenge when capturing a Convention photo: dense overhead spotlights and a black reflective floor easily create image noise or messy glare, yet pairing that with low upward angles made the lance prop in hand appear remarkably elongated, creating a distinct stage presence. When wearing this attire, the trickiest elements were the trailing back streamers and the fin-shaped skirt design; walking required immense care to prevent anyone behind from accidentally stepping on them. Before the camera, however, maintaining top condition was paramount.

Specifically for the second shot with the high single-leg lift pose, my center of gravity relied entirely on the lance prop for support—testing core strength and balance to the limit, especially since the venue's reflective flooring was quite slick; it took several takes to find an angle without straining my facial expression. Under the convention's cool lighting, the over-the-knee White stockings looked crisp and translucent, pairing with white heeled boots to form a vivid visual contrast against the dark backdrop while beautifully elongating leg lines.

A lot of thought went into hair and makeup, especially the fluttering angle of the long pink hair, which was adjusted repeatedly to complement dynamic combat momentum. Anime costumes aren't particularly lightweight in reality; the skirt required rigid fin-like structures to maintain its flared silhouette, which looks stunning on camera, though navigating the crowded expo floor almost tripped me up several times.

Nevertheless, the warm convention atmosphere where everyone politely clears shooting space and patiently waits for candid captures makes all the previous effort worthwhile. Many fellow enthusiasts gathered around to watch, but amidst the crowds and noise, lighting would dip suddenly, requiring continuous readjustments to face angles. The custom lance prop featured a semi-translucent, water-crystal texture with tangible weight, tiring my arms after prolonged poses. Looking back at these Convention photos, compared to static studio portraits, candid on-site captures carry authentic presence—the instant the skirt swept up and the boots reflected on the floor truly embodied this Wuthering Waves character's essence. This set consists of straight-from-camera shots without heavy editing, preserving the genuine convention lighting ambiance and nuances.
