[Feixiao cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail: The Yaoqing General Wielding Her Axe to Break Enemy Ranks

The moment I received Feixiao's costume and props, I was stunned by the sheer weight of that massive battleaxe. Preparing for this photoshoot took a tremendous amount of effort beforehand. The tailoring and materials of the costume are exceptionally refined; the blue-and-black sleeveless high-collared top carries a subtle sheen, while the gold-thread piping and frog-button details reveal rich textures under natural light. The waist cutouts demand a sleek physique, so I took strict care of my body conditioning before the shoot to ensure a flawless fit.

The wig was easily the most labor-intensive part of the styling. Waist-length white locks transitioning into a cyan gradient not only tangle easily, but also need to retain a breezy, flowing elegance. Brushing and setting it took nearly two hours. In particular, positioning the white beast ears on top took testing multiple angles before securing them firmly at the roots using hairspray and bobby pins to keep them natural. For makeup, light-colored contact lenses paired with reddish eyeshadow and an intricately drawn golden forehead mark faithfully channeled her cool, razor-sharp combat intensity.

The props and action poses posed just as great a challenge. That teal-and-gold long-handled battleaxe was surprisingly heavy and difficult to wield single-handedly. The lunge-and-slash strike in Photo 3 demanded immense core strength to balance while keeping a composed facial expression during the exertion. For the kneeling stance glancing back in Photo 2, perfecting the lines of the thigh straps and boots meant bruising my knees a bit on the ground and twisting my waist to its absolute limit. The metallic buckles on the black tall boots paired with the leather leg garters brought out her untamed warrior beauty while elongating the leg lines visual proportions.

The location was set in front of a traditional historic building, where red pillars and slate-gray tiled steps created a warm-and-cool contrast against the blue-and-black garments, enriching the frame's visual depth. Soft ambient daylight softened the set, while post-processing infused vibrant cyan electrical currents to instantly evoke an explosive, authentic battle atmosphere. My personal favorite is the side-profile glance in Photo 2; that angle captures the sharp tailoring of the outfit, catches the flowing ends of the wig in motion, and delivers just the right piercing gaze. Though the shoot was physically demanding, seeing the final images of a warrior wielding her axe to shatter enemy lines made all the exhaustion melt away.
