We spent quite a long time in the studio shooting this red-and-black corset Gothic style dress for Sakiko Toyokawa cosplay, capturing two different angles while cradling a matching uniform Cotton doll in my arms. The combination of red puff sleeves and a black corset popped remarkably against the red backdrop wall; the corset cinched very tightly and was a bit tricky to put on and take off, but it accentuated my body proportions wonderfully. The white underskirt peeking out from behind created a striking contrast with the black outer layer, offering rich visual depth. The Gothic style archway and chain props set a fantastic mood, while the blue roses and candle accents lent the entire scene an icy, aloof ambiance. In the photos, the first shot is a frontal seated pose holding the Cotton doll, with legs tucked under the skirt; the second is a standing profile shot, which better showcases the skirt's drape and the lines of my legs. I specifically tailored my hair and makeup—pairing long, light-blue curly hair with black bows and large golden-eye makeup—which, combined with the Dark style atmosphere of the set, truly nailed the character's temperament. I only brought one doll for this shoot, but once the second batch of uniform dolls arrives, I plan to hold both of them for the next session to see how having two mini-avatars in frame turns out; it should be super fun. In terms of costume details, the crisscross laces on the corset and the gold lace trim along the skirt hem faithfully recreated the original design, looking great in close-ups. The stark contrast among black, red, and white looked eye-catching in person, and paired with subtle props, our keeper rate was very high.
