[Bagpipe cosplay] Arknights: Pastoral Style Cosplay event photos

Today's look is Bagpipe's pastoral outfit from Arknights. Once the orange wig arrived, its volume and length were ideal; braided into two plaits draping across my front and secured at the ends with blue ribbons, the drape fell into place nicely. The horn props on both sides of the head actually required a bit of technique to secure firmly: because wig fibers are slippery, I had to anchor the base with bobby pins first before fine-tuning the angles, ensuring they wouldn't look out of place or reveal rigging from side or low angles. For makeup, I wore purple contact lenses, elongated the eyeliner slightly, and paired it with blush to give my face a vibrant, healthy glow.

In terms of wig styling, I pre-curled the ends slightly with a curling iron so the braids wouldn't look stiff once woven. The horns caught subtle glints under the light, giving them an excellent texture. Wardrobe-wise, this classic white ruffled short-sleeved shirt features layered cuffs and collars that impart a vintage feel. Over it, the denim overall dress is made of a sturdy, structured denim that holds its silhouette remarkably well; front metal buckles, a brown waist belt, and dangling metallic chains prevent the overall outfit from looking plain. The white floral embroidery on the skirt hem is a lovely detail, beautifully revealing the skirt's layering whether walking or sitting. To complement the waistline of the denim overall dress, I tightened the belt slightly, elongating my proportions. The fringed Straw hat in hand made for a wonderful shoot prop, serving as a charming accent in the frame.

This shoot was set beside the glass curtain wall of a modern indoor building. The background lines were clean, with expansive glass providing fantastic transparency and allowing us to use reflections creatively in our composition. The cool cyan ambient tones formed a striking warm-cool contrast with the orange wig. Because these were Cosplay event photos, I worked primarily with the venue's natural light, leaning against the glass railing or standing in the middle of the hallway. When composing, the photographer used the railings and architectural lines as leading lines—such as in the shot where I pulled my braids apart with both hands, where extended arms and braids created dynamic vanishing lines that broke the frame's stillness. There was also the side-profile over-the-shoulder look holding the Straw hat, where side sunlight fell across my face, casting natural shadows with rich dimensionality.

Shooting these Cosplay event photos was quite a physical workout: the denim overall dress is relatively heavy, and maintaining poses and expressions while running around switching spots made me sweat quite a bit. The afternoon light softened up, refracting through the glass to illuminate my face very naturally. I explored several angles, like leaning against the rail looking into the lens or glancing back over my shoulder. The hallway's glass reflections are a double-edged sword—handled well, they enhance spatial depth, but bad angles easily catch passerby clutter or harsh glare. The photographer invested immense care into finding optimal angles, placing me in designated zones to dodge chaotic reflections. The entire shoot went smoothly as we uncovered varied vantage points within limited space. Although this outfit didn't include stockings or similar elements, physical body language—unfurling arms, shifting centers of gravity—still brought out the character's energetic, approachable warmth.
