The Diaochan Fragrant Dream skin in Honor of Kings features a very cool, serene, and highly recognizable design language. Before choosing to do a cosplay of this character, I was already deeply captivated by the overall atmosphere where water reflects the moon and ice blends with snow. For this shoot, I chose a pure white indoor studio with bright and even lighting to best reproduce the rich colors and fine details of the outfit itself.

Regarding the crafting of this look, let's start with the core costume. The main body of the outfit is a dark blue halter-neck sleeveless mini dress. The fabric is substantial with a subtle sheen; although it looks heavy, the tailored fit on the upper body keeps it comfortable to wear. The chest features silver-white radial line embroidery with a striking teal gemstone inlaid right in the center, surrounded by delicate rhinestone accents. Combined with dangling silver chains, this draws the visual focal point gracefully above the waist. The skirt design is quite unique, utilizing a gradient from dark blue to light blue. The outer silver-white and light blue layers are made from a structured material that holds a wavy, fluid dynamic reminiscent of splashing ice crystals and water spray. Instead of relying on a long train, the hem stops above the knees, making the legs look noticeably longer on camera.

Next, let's look at the specially prepared headpiece and wig. The light lavender purple short hair was trimmed and thinned multiple times to maintain a natural flow without feeling overly heavy. The headpiece features a silver metallic hollow skeleton structure combined with translucent blue spike accents. While intricate to assemble, it refracts beautiful twinkling reflections as I move. To complement this icy snow theme, I chose bright blue contact lenses for the makeup, instantly heightening her cool aura. Under the eyes, I attached silver-white teardrop glitter sequins, mimicking falling tears to add a touch of vulnerability and mystery to the character.

As for details, the accessories in this outfit are real eye-catchers. The upper arms feature three silver arm rings, each embellished with smooth blue gemstones that look exceptionally translucent under the white studio lights. The nail art was also custom-made—a blue-and-silver gradient blending glitter diamonds and micro-carvings; these 3D fingertip details look amazing on camera when holding props or posing. Furthermore, the crown piece, though stunning, required extra care during wear. To ensure stability, I used invisible hairnets and bobby pins for multi-layer securing, successfully avoiding the awkwardness of it slipping during the shoot.

Finally, I'd like to share some insights on shooting and composition. Since the outfit leans toward dark tones and was shot in a white studio, my fair skin created a sharp contrast with the costume. Therefore, we used large-area soft diffusion lights rather than harsh rim lighting to prevent harsh skin glare. During shooting, I noticed that once paired with expressive movements, the long silver streamers spreading to both sides formed a striking radial composition. However, garments with long streamers demand larger movement amplitude; if poses are too stiff, the streamers pile up awkwardly around the feet. In the final shots, I maintained outward arm postures paired with focused eyes, presenting a visual tension that is both elegant and fiercely impactful. For players who want to try a Roleplay in this Fragrant Dream style, managing accessories and styling the wig are absolute top priorities. It's no exaggeration to say that the main challenge lies not in the dress itself, but in coordinating all the accessories properly. Crafting this Diaochan cosplay with the heart of a dedicated main hero player, I'm very happy with the final completion level shown in front of the camera.
