[Furina cosplay] Studio shooting Log in Vintage Court Style

Returning to the Linguishouyu practical studio base in Zhengzhou, this shoot was dedicated to Furina. Visiting for the second time was just as delightful: the practical studio sets are crafted with immense care. Dark crimson wallpaper paired with ornate gilded frames, solid wood bookcases, and a red velvet high-back chair create an immediate wave of classical and subtly whimsical ambiance the moment light strikes the space.

Given the character's background tied to the Nation of Hydro, the outfit is rich with intricate details. Centered on vibrant blues, the tailcoat features lavish gold embroidery for added texture, paired with a black ruffled cravat and a radiant blue gemstone brooch at the collar. The top hat is adorned with blue-and-gold trims and accented with a white feather, infusing theatrical flair into the overall look. My white wig was styled with fluffy, layered volume. To add further visual intrigue, I wore asymmetric gloves—black leather on the left hand and white fabric on the right—along with a black strappy Leg garter accented by a blue teardrop pendant, creating a look that is both magnificent and playfully sharp.

The photographer was exceptional at guiding poses. In the red velvet chair scene, holding a cane with my legs crossed and torso leaning gently back naturally brought out the character's composed authority. In the study set, I posed with chess pieces and vintage hardcover books; the shelves were lined with classic tomes, and an antique typewriter sat on the desk. Fiddling with the chess pieces created an effortless sense of immersion, as if I were genuinely lost in contemplation. The mirror shot was a standout: adjusting my hat in front of the carved antique mirror with light falling perfectly across my silhouette gave the frame an intimate slice-of-life quality.

The studio's props were comprehensive—scales, oil paintings, and picture frames required no forced posturing; simply resting a hand on them with an intentional gaze brought out deep storytelling. To convey her aloof yet aristocratic aura, I kept my facial expressions understated while preserving lightness in my movements—slowing down the motion when lifting the cane or turning pages added an effortless elegance. My makeup emphasized depth around the eyes over a clean, luminous base that translated into beautiful skin texture under the studio lighting.

Shooting takes considerable physical energy, from initial fitting to endless fine-tuning of angles on set, but seeing the final images makes every ounce of effort worthwhile. Having such a meticulously detailed practical base in Zhengzhou is a true convenience for cosplayers. The overall experience was seamless, scene transitions were smooth, and it sparked plenty of creative ideas. I look forward to unlocking different sets and aesthetics here on my next visit.
