[Furina Cosplay] Genshin Impact Hydro Archon Descends, a Mortal Body Rivaling Deities Under the Lens

This set of photos was completed with photographer B-Jun and post-processing retoucher Master Ansi. There was heavy foot traffic at the convention on the day of the shoot, so we found a relatively quiet tiled area in a corner, laid down a white faux rabbit fur carpet, and began creating. Actually, a lot of effort went into this Furina outfit, from trimming the wig to the detailed accessories, especially the golden patterns and white sheer streamers on the blue high top hat; every stitch was repeatedly adjusted to recreate the character's gorgeous yet slightly playful texture. A high-contrast flash was selected during the shoot, paired with a light blue cool-toned environment to conjure up her proud and elegant aura. The dynamic water special effects in the first few photos were intentionally overlaid by the retoucher; that ring of water splashes condensing in mid-air looks as if the Hydro element is responding to her skirt hem. At that time, the photographer had me try various sitting postures to ensure my body lines were extended while making the leg straps and white lace socks look well-proportioned on camera; the slight head tilt and raised hand angle in Photo 1 hit the exact expression I wanted perfectly. The duo photo features an interaction with Master Xiao Azhu; the back-to-back composition gives the entire spatial relationship more tension. The shooting angles were also intentionally low-perspective choices; for instance, the shoe-sole close-up in Photo 5 was meant to visually stretch the legs while expressing a commanding presence. The semi-reclining pose in Photo 6 heavily tested my core strength, as I had to brace myself against the floor to keep the skirt from scattering completely. To be honest, running around the convention all day in this short skirt paired with over-the-knee socks and thick-soled martin boots is quite physically draining, but whenever I see the light hitting my eyes perfectly in the frame or the wind catching my hair strands, all the preparation feels completely worth it. This set of photos didn't undergo excessive skin smoothing, preserving the natural texture of the skin and shadows, making the overall look quite realistic and full of power. I personally love the one surrounded by water splashes; that cool-to-warm contrast between the transparent elements and the blue dress captures the character's temperament beautifully. As a cosplayer, every time I recreate a character possessing a divine identity, I unconsciously adjust my posture and gaze, trying to convey her seemingly composed yet internally complex core. Although the convention floor is noisy, as long as we focus on the lens in front of us, we can briefly construct a little world belonging to the character. Thanks to the friend on site who helped hold the reflector, and thanks to the post-processing teacher for modifying the details frame-by-frame on the special effects, which led to the final outcome.
