[Ganyu Cosplay] Genshin Impact: Maid Outfit Convention Photo Recap

Cosplaying Ganyu in her maid outfit at the CPGZ07 convention this time, I found the ensemble packed with intricate details. It felt noticeably weightier on than expected, but that weight translated to rich, premium texture. The overall palette is a classic blue, white, and black; the glossy black finish of the bodice paired with fine black lace netting creates wonderful dimensional depth. To maintain the crisp shape of the tube top, structured inner boning was fitted closely to the body, accentuated by metallic gold ornaments to make the upper silhouette truly pop. The crisp white apron on the lower half is trimmed with golden waist piping, and the cascading tiers of lace ruffles along the hem feel exquisitely detailed. The massive blue bow on the back serves as the true soul of the look, sharply defining the overall silhouette—though riding in cars and navigating crowded venue doorways required extra caution to keep it from getting crushed.

For the wig, I selected a high-quality light blue, styling it into two low braided pigtails cascading down both sides, with the crown headpiece and ribbons fastened strictly according to canon design. To complement the purple contacts, the eye makeup incorporated reddish-pink tones and deepened aegyo-sal shading to channel the character's spirited, lively essence. A vibrant red lip color also provided a striking focal pop against the cool blue-and-white tones, giving my facial contours enhanced dimension on camera.

The detachable tulle sleeves feature delicate micro-shimmer that drifts weightlessly during movement and posing, though they caught easily on nearby objects, making me walk extra mindfully through convention aisles. The lower half was styled with over-the-knee Black stockings and white high heels; this monochrome color-blocking visually elongates leg lines beautifully, while subtle lace ruffles and strappy ties at the stocking cuffs inject a touch of playful charm.

When shooting against the venue's rigid grey square-tiled wall, I leaned gently against it and kicked one heel up slightly. This not only highlighted the absolute territory above the Black stockings but also broke up rigid angles for a dynamic posture. I tried plenty of interactive gestures for this set—framing heart hands, reaching toward the lens, and classic peace signs—aiming to convey an adorable, dutiful maid persona before her master. Because these were on-site convention photos, the photographer used a punchy direct flash to cut through the cool-toned background, casting sharp, dramatic silhouettes against the wall. While the petticoat and sleeves slightly restricted mobility and walking around the convention all day was exhausting, seeing such satisfying shots made every bit of effort worthwhile.
