This time at the IJOY Comic Convention, I did Gongsun Li's Dance Among Flowers look; every part of this styling, from the wig to the props, was polished bit by bit by myself. The long straight blue hair paired with fluffy rabbit ears looks visually cool and pure yet slightly playful. The most time-consuming part was that large floral umbrella. The texture of each petal and the supporting ribs were repeatedly adjusted. To recreate that light and gorgeous feeling from the game, the umbrella surface used a gradient blue gauze material, and I am very satisfied with its transparency under the on-site lighting. The outfit consists of a slim-fit white top paired with a multi-layered blue pleated skirt. The rose decorations on the hem add a sense of layering, while the gradient blue sleeves on the arms and the flower straps at the ankles are testimonies to a detail freak's obsession. During the shoot, we specifically chose a corner of the exhibition hall and used a softbox to create a cool tone, making the blue palette even purer. The concrete texture of the floor contrasts with the character's soft, beautiful style, turning out unexpectedly great in photos. Since I had to kneel and lie on my side, I had to carefully arrange the skirt and wig every time I adjusted my posture, but to capture a vivid and nimble expression, it was completely worth trying multiple times. I also tried several holding angles for the prop umbrella, finally finding this side-profile posture that showcases both the rabbit ears and facial contours simultaneously. Many photographers on-site were very friendly, and we exchanged ideas on composition and aperture selection; this co-creative atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. Although the convention was crowded, calming my mind and focusing on the character itself made me feel that everything was worth it. The design of the Dance Among Flowers skin inherently carries an Oriental fantasy flavor, and the blue palette brings its own sense of tranquility. Trying to turn a flat 2D setting into a three-dimensional real-life photo shoot this time gave me a sense of fulfillment far exceeding expectations. In post-processing, I only did basic exposure and color temperature calibration to preserve the authentic light and shadow of the live environment, hoping to convey the temperament of Gongsun Li from that exact moment.
