Today I'm sharing this derived outfit of Marisa from Touhou Project. Because the weather is really too hot, I specially tried a short-haired girl styling this time. After cutting and styling it short, I look much more refreshing overall, and it also makes it easier to wear this oversized-brim hat. The color scheme of the whole outfit is mainly black, white, and gray, which is very classic visually. Let's look at the upper body first: the inner layer is a white long-sleeved lace shirt with lantern sleeves that have a very fluffy feel, and the breathability is quite decent. Outerwear is a dark sleeveless single-breasted vest, with a well-fitted waist that gives a neat proportion. To increase layering, I also draped a gray plaid short mini-shawl on the outside, which not only enriches the shoulder contour but also slightly blocks the overly cold indoor air conditioning. Some effort was put into the accessories. The brown leather belt around the waist, besides securing the skirt, also hangs a compact leather mini bag and a beaded chain. These small metal and leather items can anchor the lightness of the clothes, giving the overall styling more substance. The lower body is a black multi-layered fluffy skirt in Lolita fashion, with the outermost layer being a layer of tulle with fine glitter powder, showing subtle details under the light. To increase gorgeousness, a white lace apron was tied in the front. The bottom of the skirt hem intentionally exposes the gray plaid and white ruffles, and that's how the layering is stacked up. The feet are matched with white short socks with lace trims featuring a delicate stockings styling aesthetic, plus black double-buckle Mary Jane shoes, making it very stable when walking. Many friends ask if wearing such a multi-layered skirt in summer will be very hot; actually, as long as you change the inner layer to a breathable pure cotton material, choose lightweight organza for the outer tulle, and match it with a refreshing short-haired styling, the perceived temperature will be much better. Wig maintenance is also crucial; the short-haired style needs to be slightly trimmed for layers, use hair wax to create a little messy feel so that the hat won't collapse easily. Ironing and storing the clothes are also very important, especially lace and tulle, which should be hung up separately after each wear to avoid snagging. Overall, this styling fits Marisa's slightly playful yet neat feeling very well, and the black-white-gray color scheme and plaid elements also give the outfit a retro texture. It's very suitable for daily street outings or taking photos at conventions, and there's no sense of restriction when moving around.
