[Yu Linglong Cosplay] NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Crimson Sun Tenko, Moonlight Fox Silhouette in a Dark Ancient Manor

The essence of this Crimson Sun Tenko outfit lies in the combination of lightness and strength. When first conceptualizing hair and makeup, I wanted to find a visual presentation intertwining mythical feel with modern aestheticism, ultimately finding the best entry point in a scene with a full moon, ancient house, and paper lanterns.

Let's talk about the hair and makeup details. I chose a vivid bright red-orange gradient wig; to highlight the character's beast ear features, special styling fixtures were placed at the roots and ear tips, making the overall mythical beast feel more three-dimensional. The makeup features delicate elongated eyeliner paired with matching lip color, aiming to recreate the fox spirit's unique charm and cool texture. As for the costume, its tailoring is very unique—the main body is pieced together with plenty of feathers, tulle, beige fabric panels, and light blue straps. The teal-blue gems on the chest and waist act as visual focal points, creating a warm-and-cool color contrast with the crimson hair. Golden chains around the ankles offer lovely accents, while the barefoot design frees the overall look from heavy constraint, closer to a fox spirit effortlessly traversing mountain forests.

For the set design, the photographer and I put in a lot of thought. The full moon backdrop was lit softly to provide flattering rim light on the subject, while white blossom branches broke up dark gloominess to bring depth. Props were kept restrained: a black tea table on the left with white porcelain tea sets and a leaning guqin established a traditional style baseline; paper umbrellas, lanterns, and a stone lantern in the foreground on the right formed a framing effect. Particularly in the sitting pose in Photo 2, extending my right leg forward with left knee slightly bent while holding a white porcelain cup balanced perfectly with the background full moon and guqin. Dry ice smoke swirled below the platform during shooting, creating a wonderland-like dreamy atmosphere—as if only such serene visuals could do justice to the quality of this Crimson Sun Tenko set.

The pose in the first photo is even more relaxed—I chose to recline on the wooden floor. Being barefoot on wooden flooring provides a large contact area that easily makes one lose balance, so engaging core muscles was necessary to stabilize the body. The elevated left leg and upward-stretching right hand broke up rigidness, imparting an effortless, lazy charm. Fallen flowers on the platform and foreground accents were stroke-of-genius touches, making the overall piece feel less like a mere studio portrait and more like truly being in a moonlit ancient mansion. During Cosplay photography, we made repeated adjustments to dry ice timing, lantern placement, checking if the wig was blown messy by wind, and light source orientation—making sure to illuminate blue gems and feather details clearly without harsh facial shadows.

Expressing the character's core essence, Yu Linglong herself is a hero combining agility and mystery, while the Crimson Sun Tenko skin imparts a more intense color onto her. My interpretation is that she isn't an ostentatious mature queen nor a naive sweet girl, but rather an entity quietly observing under the moonlight while ready to explode with astonishing power at any moment. Thus, for this set, I didn't deliberately strike aggressive combat poses, but aimed for relaxed standing, sitting, and reclining poses. The more relaxed, the more it conveys the character's inner confidence. Rhinestone studs, feather trims, and sheer tulle lightness make the outfit intricate, yet I aimed to capture an 'effortless yet perfectly balanced' state. This photo set is a dedicated interpretation of a game character—from refined makeup and accurate props to detailed studio lighting, the mood conveyed is exactly what we wished to share.
