Finally tried on this Helektra cosplay costume. I was previously worried that the complex skirt hem would be inconvenient for moving around at the comic convention, but after actually wearing it, I found that the fabric's draping feel was unexpectedly good, maintaining that flowing form while walking. The entire costume features many layers; the splicing areas of dark blue and purple-black were reinforced in advance by me, including those lightning-like pink textures, and the edge sealing was also re-ironed, so it won't easily fold or wrinkle during long hours of convention strolling. The waist-cinching design, paired with the built-in petticoat, perfectly sets off the lower body proportions without making it look bulky.

In terms of makeup, to fit the character's aura, I selected this highly saturated purple circle lenses. The eye makeup elongated the outer eye corners, with the eyeliner slightly flicked upwards, matching the cool-toned purplish-red eyeshadow to create an overall vibe that is cold yet somewhat aggressive. The contouring on both sides of the cheeks was applied rather deeply to enhance facial three-dimensionality. The most complex part was still the wig maintenance; for the blunt bangs to achieve that slightly sharp thickness, a significant amount of hairspray was used to fix the hair roots after trimming. The purple-pink gradient highlights at the hair ends were made by directly attaching Harajuku-colored hair extensions, with minor adjustments to make the transition from dark to light more natural, presenting a fantastic layered feel when the wind blows.

This time going to the exhibition, I encountered a very realistic problem. The friends around me cosplaying Clio were ridiculously tall; standing next to them for photos, I was completely forced to experience the cutest height difference. Helektra actually possesses a rather strong aura in her setting, but due to the height difference, the moment we took a photo together, that oppressive presence instantly turned into contrasting cuteness. To narrow the height gap, I even padded the soles of my short boots to the absolute limit today, only to find that my friends had also silently worn hidden heel inserts—everyone was essentially rolling against each other. Urgent, waiting online for how to grow taller.

Returning to the equipment details, I have to mention that red coral-like neck ornament. I initially thought it was soft rubber, but upon receiving it, I found it to be hard resin; wearing it for too long makes the cervical spine a bit sore, so during shooting, I tried to find angles to support it with my hand, or quickly took it off during breaks to ease up. The leg attire consists of high-transparency Black stockings, paired with a garter ring design, which is exceptionally helpful for refining leg shapes. When shooting full-body photos, I intentionally lowered the visual center of gravity of the skirt hem, utilizing the tensing of the instep and lighting to elongate the leg lines, which, combined with the perspective feel of the Black stockings, creates an overall better visual proportion.

When shooting at the comic convention venue, because the venue lighting was rather complex, I specifically brought a constant fill light to create contour lighting for the face, avoiding top lighting causing excessive facial shadows and keeping the base makeup clean. Over the past few days, to maintain my state, I've been applying repairing facial masks every day back home; after all, with long makeup hours and wearing a stuffy wig, skin stability is crucial. Although the height difference during cozy moments was frustrating, being able to restore beloved works together with fellow fans, discussing props and makeup, is truly a very enjoyable thing. This Helektra set combines dark and gorgeous elements, and I hope everyone likes this style.
