This convention photoshoot focused on Firefly from Honkai: Star Rail under the 'Spring Souvenir' concept. We produced three clear frontal and half-body frames. Pre-shoot preparation took considerable effort: the silver-grey gradient wig transitioned into subtle mint-green tips, requiring hands-on fringe trimming and smoothing before pairing with the textured blue headband and delicate transparent wing hairpins, which had to be securely fastened to prevent accidental bumps.
The outfit featured a stylized sailor suit: a white cropped top with a grey collar, centered by a large pale-green plaid bow that required hand-shaping for crisp structure. The lower half paired a grey pleated plaid skirt made of rigid fabric that retained its sharp pleats during movement, matched with white stockings and black platform loafers to elongate leg lines. We captured three key poses: a low-angle shot with hands on hips to display collar details; an over-the-shoulder turn lifting an arm to accentuate the cropped waist; and a dynamic single-leg lift holding a vibrant floral bouquet to present the full synergy of skirt, white stockings, and footwear.
Navigating crowded event lighting, we chose a dark backdrop illuminated by clean focused lighting, using a telephoto lens to blur background attendees. Light-blue contact lenses combined with reddish eye makeup created a crisp anime contrast against the pale wig. Post-processing suppressed background brightness and balanced facial lighting without aggressive body distortion, preserving the pristine texture of the white stockings. It was a thoroughly rewarding convention shoot that captured Firefly's gentle warmth.
