[Tairitsu cosplay] Arcaea Rhythm Game Experience: Cool Elegance in Black-Pink Contrast and Blue Eyes - Image 2

For this Tairitsu shoot, I did my utmost to faithfully recreate every aspect from makeup and styling to wardrobe. The wig was a custom long, straight black style with cleanly trimmed blunt bangs; the black ribbons and blue satin bows on both sides serve as the very soul of the entire look, so I used a flat iron along the edges to keep them crisp and structured. In terms of Anime-style makeup and styling, to harmonize with her persona, I wore highly pigmented ice-blue contact lenses. The eye makeup used a cool-toned base accented with subtle pink and reddish blending at the outer corners, blush dusted right beneath the eyes, and a soft nude lipstick to craft an overall visual aesthetic that feels cool, aloof, yet fragile.

The costume is packed with fine details: the pink ruffled neckline creates a striking contrast against the dark jacket, and the golden centerpiece on the chest carries wonderful texture with noticeable weight in hand. The detached sleeves feature blue stripes and snug cuffs. To capture flattering selfies, I carefully calibrated indoor lighting angles: relying solely on overhead room lights easily flattens facial contours, so I added a side fill light to bring out crisp catchlights in my blue eyes, granting my direct gaze a piercing intensity on camera.

Having played the rhythm game Arcaea for quite a while, I find Tairitsu's character lore imbued with a heavy sense of destiny and contradiction. During the shoot, I avoided exaggerated expressions, opting instead to maintain a calm, serene, and even distant gaze. The selfie in the second image is one of my personal favorites: resting my chin in one hand complemented the drape of the sleeve, infusing gentle atmosphere without looking rigid. Taking these selfies was genuinely a workout for the neck and arms—holding a fixed pose for extended periods while monitoring composition on the phone screen to ensure neither the hair nor the neckline shifted.

In striving to portray this character, I realized mastering minute details matters far more than just piling on colors. For instance, dialing in the angle of the hair ribbons and lowering the chin slightly in frontal shots enlarges the eyes within the frame, accentuating the icy chill of the blue contact lenses. For the background, I stuck to clean walls and mirrors, using mirror reflections to enrich visual depth while showcasing the back length of the wig and the tailoring of the garment to keep the composition dynamic.

I hope this set of photos captures Tairitsu's signature presence, reminding fellow players of the moving lore behind this character as they play through their favorite tracks.
