[Kuromi Serika cosplay] Blue Archive's Kitty: Catching Good Vibes by the Water and on the Streets

The event photos for this Kuromi Serika cosplay look from the Guangzhou Blue Archive Only Event on December 21, 2025, have finally been sorted out. The weather in Guangzhou that day was very accommodating—soft lighting without harsh, glaring sunlight, making it ideal for outdoor portrait photography. The shooting locations mainly comprised two scenes: the poolside and the urban walkway, presenting an overall relaxed yet distinctly anime-inspired aesthetic. When shooting by the pool in Photo 1, the deep blue water was deliberately chosen as the background, paired with post-production concentric ripple effects to create a visual sensation of breaking through the fourth wall. For the costume, this black tube-top bubble dress features multi-layered ruffles, with subtle fabric textures shimmering under the light, while black floral accents and lace trim around the waist add intricate detail. Accessorized with a black lace choker, Black stockings cosplay, and high heels with red soles, the overall look achieved high completion and polish. Beyond the outfit, the wig and props were equally vital to capturing Kuromi Serika. The custom black long straight twin-tail wig wore smoothly and naturally, while the plush white cat ears and pink halo overhead stood out boldly; although care was needed to avoid dislodging the halo, securing it well delivered iconic character recognizability. During the shoot, to capture the dress fluttering in its most natural flare, we attempted several jumps and spins. The single-leg stance in Photo 4 was quite a test of balance, but fortunately the heels were sturdy; aided by a gentle breeze, the skirt flared into a lovely puffy silhouette, and pointing a finger skyward perfectly matched Serika's slightly willful yet adorable personality. Photographer @八次方根 delivered rock-solid framing and timing. In the quieter snapshot of Photo 5, leaning against the railing with eyes closed and lightly touching the forehead captured a relaxed moment showing another facet of the character. Photos 2 and 3 focused on movement along the walkway: turning back over the shoulder with the skirt swishing, freezing fleeting expressions, and catching the pop of red on the shoe soles added wonderful surprises to the composition. We didn't chase the sterile perfection of studio work, preferring to blend subject and scenery through natural ambient light. Guangzhou's winter greenery, dotted with scattered fallen leaves, added an elegant seasonal touch. As a cosplayer, attending offline only events and collaborating with photographers allows me not only to bring beloved characters to life, but also to explore their presence across different environments through the lens. Sorting through these photos allowed me to relive lifting the skirt and pacing back and forth to nail every angle. Sharing these final photos serves as a cherished souvenir of this Guangzhou Blue Archive Only Event trip. The entire shoot was deeply comfortable, free from stiff staging, unfolding completely naturally.
