Attending Comicup 31 as a niche Touhou Project character achieved the expected milestone: recognized by fewer than five people all day! It is actually a wondrous experience—while others queued up for photo ops, I could quietly bask in the unique aura this outfit brings. In crafting Kasen, I made thoughtful styling decisions. Long pink hair paired with white sheer gauze and red bindings, complemented by white floral ornaments and orange ribbons on the head, created a very gentle visual harmony. But to capture her inherent hermit majesty, I wore a remarkably thick, heavy iron chain and black claw gauntlets around my wrists. Posing with this setup during the shoot was an extreme test of arm strength; my arm was trembling while hoisting the props with one hand, but seeing the finished photos made every ounce of effort worthwhile. The amazing photographer @蚀叁三Nodas palette chose clever framing, utilizing an extreme low-angle perspective backlit by the building's skylight, allowing the petite hermit to project a commanding, regal aura and cold aloofness on camera. Because the character is niche, without the distraction of bustling crowds, I could immerse myself more deeply into channeling her expressions and movements. For example, reaching out with a cool, aloof gaze neutralized the sweetness of the pink palette and sheer fabrics, bringing out her stern, inviolable nature. The venue's lighting was unpredictable that day, so to catch that ethereal, divine hazy halo, we repeatedly adjusted positions near the exhibition hall's vents and skylights. Carrying the heavy props was exhausting, but presenting a beloved character through a unique lens and capturing her authentic aesthetic in pure artistic work is the true joy of attending an Anime convention.
