Stepping onto the tennis court in Liangzhu in this white-and-blue sportswear outfit, I was instantly immersed in that mixed feeling of nervousness and anticipation. Because the character is set with a determination of "I will do my absolute best," when planning this set of photos, we decided to highlight sunshine, vitality, and that slightly raw but all-out swing of an athletic Tennis girl atmosphere.
The coordination of this outfit actually emphasizes a sports-functional feel. The white short-sleeved top is paired with dark blue athletic shorts, and the fine yellow lines along the hem and seams add energy to the overall look, preventing it from being dull. The knee-high socks combined with the red, white, and black canvas sneakers are highly comfortable and frame the leg shape beautifully. Draping the dark blue jacket over my shoulders during Outdoor photography is a little habit of mine; it not only fits the casual state of a half-time break on the tennis court but also adds layers to the composition. Of course, the soul of the entire look lies in this fluffy pair of animal ears cosplay and the white headband on my head. Paired with the yellow halo special effect added in post-production, it instantly transforms the real-world hard tennis court into a space filled with a fantasy aura.
The natural light that day was amazing. Sunshine pierced through the wire fence and the yellow bleachers in the background, casting beautiful light and shadow on the ground. A metal cart filled with highly saturated tennis balls became an excellent visual anchor in the frame, and a few tennis balls scattered on the ground made the scene look more vivid and real, as if a practice match had just concluded. To convey the feeling of "giving it all," I tried my best to extend my body in the pose design. Whether it was the playful dynamic of standing on one leg and looking back, or the slightly naive expression when raising a water bottle to block the sun, I hoped to use body language to get closer to the character's gentle yet steadfast core. The standing pose in Figure 2, with my hand raised to shade the sun and holding the water bottle, is what I consider the most atmospheric shot, perfectly catching the rim light of the sun spilling onto my hair strands.
This shoot took place at an outdoor venue in Liangzhu, Hangzhou. The venue manager provided a very clean interlocking blue and green background with no redundant clutter to interfere, making the colors of the finalized photos exceptionally translucent. Huge thanks to the photographer for constantly guiding me behind the lens, allowing me to relax quickly and capture these summer athletic vibes. Although my personal tennis skills might not be professional, at least in creating the character's state and ambiance, I truly gave my whole heart this time to get as close as possible to the warmth and brilliance in that Blue Archive setting.
