[Lancer Artoria Alter cosplay] FGO Fate: The Purple Allure of the Bunny Girl

This bunny girl styling for Lancer Artoria Alter is easily one of my favorite recent looks. Character designs in FGO Fate are invariably iconic; when planning this shoot, my focus was squarely on channeling that rich purple allure. The costume details took immense dedication, thoroughly refined from fabric selection to accessory coordination.

Beginning with the garment details: the bodysuit was crafted from lustrous purple fabric that reflected stunning violet-blue specular highlights under night lighting, delivering a high-end luxury sheen. The plunging V-neckline across the chest was trimmed with black lace, injecting a touch of soft sensuality into the frame. To elevate textural layering, a deep-purple faux-fur stole was draped across the outer arms; its plush fluff formed a stark visual counterpoint against the sleek, structured cool of the bodysuit.

The bunny ears atop my head were another custom highlight, featuring a high-contrast palette of deep purple on the outside and bright orange-red inside, complemented by the spiked purple forehead ornament to capture the character's signature edge. A black tie around the neck, studded with geometric silver metallic embellishments, refined the upper-body detail. Cutout accents around the waist and abdomen, paired with silver chain links, swayed with organic drape with every stride.

The lower half was paired with black micro-shorts and fine-mesh fishnet Stockings, grounded by black pointed-toe stiletto heels. The mesh weave was carefully selected for its sheer transparency, working alongside the pointed violet-blue armor accessories on the outer thighs to visually lengthen leg proportions into an undeniably fierce, sultry silhouette.

During the shoot, I explored varied dynamic poses to showcase the outfit's strengths. In photo 2, the stance with one leg raised and arms extended outward demanded solid core engagement, yet the captured frame radiated incredible tension and kinetic energy, accentuating the contours of the legs and midriff. For the close-up in photo 3, leaning forward slightly with hands framing the face spotlighted the facial makeup and intimate eye contact. The frontal standing pose in photo 1 served to display the garment's tailoring and full-body proportions in their entirety.

On the makeup side, to complement the sleek silver-white long straight wig, the eye makeup accentuated eyelashes and the lower aegyo-sal contour, paired with warm hazel-brown contact lenses to deepen the gaze. The red lip shade stood out vividly against the deeper purple tones, finished with sleek black manicured nails as an intentional subtle touch.

Shooting at night meant the background bokeh was gorgeous, but to render the subject and garment details razor-sharp, we utilized powerful front fill lighting. This subdued the ambient background while fully unlocking the rich saturation of the purple palette. Against the velvet canvas of the night, this purple bunny girl styling carried an unforgettable, magnetic presence.
