[Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) cosplay] The Quiet Elegance of Fate/Grand Order Final Ascension Outfit

This shoot covers Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) cosplay in her Final Ascension look from Fate/Grand Order. From planning this project to entering the studio for shooting, a lot of details were prepared along the way. The overall style leans toward soft realism, without intentionally aiming to recreate extreme combat tension.

The Silver hair wig underwent meticulously detailed layer trimming, which, combined with the signature black glossy headpiece, made the overall outline closer to the cool demeanor of the original artwork. For makeup, instead of sharp upward eyeliner, soft eyeshadow gradients were chosen alongside a dark red matte lipstick, hoping to highlight the character's quiet and slightly melancholic temperament.

For the costume, a paneling combination of glossy black leather and matte purple fabric was used this time. The chest and shoulders recreated the chain and cutout structures, while the slit design preserved the crisp feel of the original look while facilitating leg display in both standing and sitting poses. Paired with black over-the-knee Stockings and shiny high-heeled boots, the body proportions were nicely elongated, making the overall silhouette look even sleeker.

Regarding props, the white flag with black emblems along with the pole weapon felt quite heavy in hand, requiring core strength to swing and lift. Though somewhat heavy, the photographer utilized this prop along with a fan to capture dynamic, tension-filled shots as the flag fluttered, balancing both atmosphere and movement alongside soft studio lighting.

Red velvet cloth was intentionally used as the background during shooting, forming a striking color contrast with the black-and-purple attire, enhancing visual layering and impact. Standing, sitting, and weapon-holding backward glances were all shot. I personally feel most satisfied with the sitting photos—the body language is more relaxed, the gaze settles down, and paired with white fur decorative details around the thighs, it appears soft yet conveys strength.

During post-processing retouching, excessive skin smoothing was avoided to preserve real skin textures as much as possible, making only subtle tweaks to the Silver hair wig's luster, the skirt hem's purple saturation, and overall contrast. This ensured natural light-and-shadow transitions, highlighting a quiet yet noble Dragon Holy Maiden atmosphere. This photoshoot experience was fantastic, meeting expectations in both detail accuracy and emotional delivery, standing as a sincere representation of the character's temperament in this cosplay session.
