[Kawaragi Momoka cosplay] Girls Band Cry on Kawasaki Streets: Daily Life Amidst Emptiness and Venting

I've always wanted to use the lens to capture Kawaragi Momoka's unique daily atmosphere after leaving the band. Taking the opportunity of her birthday, I completed a Kawasaki pilgrimage style shoot. It's not just about recreating the character, but getting into her current mindset to feel the warmth and cold of the streets and the flow of time.

When shooting this set, photographer @Ank雨宮陆零 and I didn't consciously chase that powerful rock stage tension. Instead, we deliberately slowed down the pace, trying to present that subtle balance between "emptiness and venting." For someone like her, who once stood under the spotlight and resolutely walked away, the undertone of daily life is often cool and distant. So we kept the iconic black top, denim shorts, and Black tights outfit, adding a guitar strap with cartoon patterns and black Martin boots, blending street style with a girl's casualness.

Actually, the hardest part during the shoot was capturing that "gap time" with no clear actions. Like the moment sitting on the steps holding a drink can, I naturally channeled that nonchalant relaxation of being alone; looking down at the phone, the screen just happened to light up showing an audio playback interface, the reality of the details made the shoot very natural. Walking past glass curtain walls in Kawasaki's night scene with a guitar bag on my back, blue city cold light reflecting on my face, that blue electric guitar feels like her only emotional outlet. Watching the blurred shadows of passing pedestrians, one can really feel that for Momoka, music has never been just a job, but her way of conversing with her own world.
\ To express that determination amidst loneliness, we deliberately used some cool blue-green tones to unify the texture of the photos. Reflections on glass, halos of streetlights, even the pale blonde strands of hair blown by the wind, are all assisting this story. These daily fragments pieced together are not a perfect idol, but a real teenage girl who drinks from a can on the roadside and dazes off hugging a guitar case. Friends who like GBC will surely see the solitude and tenderness beyond the character's flashes in these photos, and also see, on her journey to find her own voice again, that true attitude belonging to rock: Rock is an attitude.
