[Remilia & Sakuya Izayoi cosplay] Gathering at the Scarlet Devil Mansion in Touhou Project

This shoot with my partner brought Touhou Project's Remilia Scarlet and Sakuya Izayoi to life, with me portraying the mistress, Remilia.

Pre-shoot prep took considerable effort, particularly the wigs and wardrobe. Remilia's oversized mob cap demanded meticulous styling with tiered ruffles, crimson ribbons, and pearl accents; once donned, it narrowed my field of vision, requiring deliberate, measured steps. The custom black bat wings anchored firmly along my waist and back were somewhat heavy, yet their silhouette against the lights was immensely satisfying. My partner portrayed Sakuya Izayoi, whose crisp blue-and-white Maid outfit paired with silver-white braided pigtails looked impeccably sharp, elevated by a sleek silver miniature violin prop.

Our first close-up was staged before a deep crimson backdrop. The photographer guided our angles: she tilted her chin upward to gaze at me, while I looked down with a cool, imperious glance, encapsulating the Scarlet Devil Mansion's opulent mystique and master-servant dynamic. The second full-body shot transitioned to a soft pink set framed by white balustrade props. Structured petticoats gave our skirts ideal volume. Holding a red parasol while lightly lifting my hem, I stood beside my partner, whose profile cleanly highlighted her calf lines, shoes, and Black stockings. With glasses and the silver prop, her composed poise came together after several micro-adjustments.

Controlling the lighting proved essential. A punchy key light emphasized dimensional lace ruffles and folds, while portable reflectors softened facial planes. Mindful handling kept my delicate Black stockings snag-free throughout poses. In post-production, we enriched crimson saturation while softening pink tones, honoring Touhou Project's enduring charm with genuine dedication.
