When shooting this set of Asuka Cosplay photos, the lighting on-site at the anime convention was actually very complex; the overhead hall lights were quite harsh, easily making faces look dark. Fortunately, the photographer prepared outdoor strobe lights and softboxes in advance, using a telephoto lens to avoid the cluttered background booths, resulting in this clean and crisp set of Convention photos. Early preparation was also rather tedious: the material of this red dress is glossy and stiff, which supports the puffy skirt hem beautifully, but the catch is that it reflects light easily, so finding the right angle relative to the lighting during the shoot took considerable time. The hair was a long orange-red twin-tail wig; to create a natural drape, I straightened it in advance and sprayed it with styling mist. The eyepatch is velvet; to ensure it wouldn't look out of place in photos, I applied a base underneath and carefully secured the edges with anti-allergy tape. The black lace choker and black gloves are indispensable details, and paired with those red high heels featuring ribbon bows, the overall red-and-black color contrast is exceptionally high. Black stockings paired with a red dress is a true classic—wearing them not only flatters the leg lines, but also elongates the legs when combined with high heels for this Black stockings cosplay. When shooting the first photo sitting on the high stool, I deliberately adjusted the angle of my crossed legs to perfectly showcase the texture of the black stockings and the layers of the skirt hem; with a centered composition, the visual focus is concentrated with great camera presence, and I personally love this shot. The second sideways standing photo was aimed at showcasing the cut-out strap design at the waist. For the latter two violin-playing photos, a violin prop was prepared; although this violin was just a prop for posing, holding it alongside the bow, adjusting finger positioning, and focusing my gaze on the strings required much more physical coordination than simply standing. The most exhausting part of Convention photography was controlling expressions and posture: the convention venue was packed, surrounded by many onlookers, requiring intense concentration to ignore the surrounding noise and pose according to the photographer's instructions. In post-processing, the photographer preserved authentic skin texture without excessive smoothing; the lighting was rendered very translucent, highlighting 3D facial contours. Experiencing the character's costume, makeup, props, and shooting process in full gave me a deeper understanding of recreating this classic icon, making it a truly joyful photoshoot experience.
