[Sumeragi Setsuna cosplay] Ongeki: A Spontaneous Snap from the Convention

I only took this single photo at the convention this time, bringing to life Sumeragi Setsuna from Ongeki. Because the venue was overwhelmingly crowded and the lighting environment was rather chaotic, I sought out a relatively open corner, held up my phone, and took a quick spontaneous selfie.

To faithfully capture this character, I dedicated considerable effort to makeup and styling. For the wig, I opted for a long, straight silver-white style, intentionally leaving the wispy bangs in front a bit longer so they slightly veiled my eyes, adding a layer of mystery. A small silver metallic hairpin was clipped into the hair as a detailed embellishment. Because silver hair can easily make skin look dull in a Silver hair cosplay, I kept the foundation exceptionally clean and swept blush slightly heavier than usual to brighten my overall complexion. The eye makeup was the focal point this time: to complement the reddish-brown irises, I drew bold black eyeliner extended outward at the corners, carefully defining the lower lashes and aegyo-sal with deeper eyeshadow to give my gaze a deeper, colder intensity.

Wardrobe-wise, it features a charcoal-black sailor-collared top edged with white line piping, tied with a black satin ribbon bow at the chest over a collared white inner shirt, accented with a striking gold round button on the front placket. The cut of this Sailor suit cosplay top is quite structured and crisp; slipping it on immediately grounded my demeanor with composed elegance. Although I didn't get a full-body shot this time, I made sure every upper-body detail was handled with precision.

Taking selfies on a convention floor is actually quite challenging—overhead lighting easily casts shadows across the face, and the background is flooded with passersby. To keep the image clean, after snapping the photo, I used a mobile editing app to roughly blur and paint over the background, allowing everyone's visual focus to settle firmly on me.

In truth, at conventions, whether rushing against time or dealing with venue constraints, one can't always produce flawless Convention photos, but casually capturing your present state has a charm of its own. When doing cosplay, I usually prioritize clean makeup and sleek wigs, because I believe that once the hair and facial makeup are faithfully recreated, half of the character's soul is already brought to life. Embodying Sumeragi Setsuna this time, I also paid special attention to expression control—avoiding exaggerated expressions and simply gazing calmly straight into the lens, hoping to convey that distinctive aloof, cool temperament. Maintaining love for the character and treating every styling process with sincerity—that is what matters most.
