[Ceobe Cosplay] The Wandering Little Fox in the Jungle, Rummaging Through Her Bag for Food When Hungry

This shoot was set in an indoor botanical garden with a glass dome, filled with green plants and wooden walkways. The light poured down through the skylight, giving a sense of outdoor transparency without losing facial details due to harsh glare. I cosplayed Ceobe this time, whom everyone affectionately calls "Xiao Ke"—a little creature who wanders the wilderness all day and screams hunger at any moment.

In terms of outfit, the warm brown and white patched short top, paired with a high collar and cinched cuffs, carries a crisp, capable wild survival vibe. The lower body features a short skirt plus multi-layered yellow-brown leather belts at the waist; although this layering looks complex, it's actually very smooth to move around in and doesn't feel tight. What satisfies me the most is actually this pair of high-top lace-up leather boots, the shafts wrapping perfectly just below the knees, providing a solid sense of weight when walking. Paired with the black long-handled mechanical spear weapon props, it instantly maxes out that "wandering warrior" vibe. The animal ears headpiece was specially custom-made, with a highly natural plush texture, and the ears have excellent support, failing to collapse over the entire day.

During the shoot, the photographer kept capturing my relaxed state. Shots like the one with one leg raised while waving an arm, and the one leaning forward holding the spear horizontally with both hands, were all shutters pressed casually while moving. For the light and shadow part, special thanks go to the backlight around noon, especially in the final photo; the sunlight poured down from directly overhead through the glass and canopy, coating a soft halo around my edges. With the spear held horizontally in front of me, that feeling of scanning ahead during a battle interval was just right. Sometimes to wait for that beam of light, we had to repeatedly walk and adjust positions on the wooden walkway, making surrounding tourists think we were shooting some indie micro-movie.

Honestly, the biggest challenge of putting out this cosplay was not the costume details, but expression management. Ceobe's personality is that kind of silly, pure, yet slightly stubborn trait; it can't be too cold, nor can it be too sweet—one must grasp that state of "having an empty stomach but remaining optimistic." I tried several hand gestures, such as raising my index finger to my lips for a "shh," as well as pumping my fist, all wanting to highlight her casual and innocent personality. Although the long-handled weapon looks domineering, its actual weight is very light, making it convenient for me to strike various grand actions without looking stiff due to overly heavy props.

This jungle location shoot gave me a new understanding of outdoor cosplay photography—the combination of natural light and greenhouse plants adds a touch of softness to the originally tough tactical-style clothing. The contrast between the brown-yellow color scheme and the green leaves is also very comfortable; almost no color grading was done in post-processing, as the light and shadow in the raw images already had a rich sense of layering. I brought quite a few snacks on the shooting day, replenishing my energy on the bench when tired, which felt like "synchronizing" with the character. I hope everyone can feel through this set of photos that worry-free, sun-seeking attitude toward life that Ceobe has in the wild, and of course, her forever insatiable stomach.
