Today, this set of Chinatsu Remiel's cosplay photos was finally shot. This character from Zenless Zone Zero has always given me a very special feeling—that kind of cuteness mixed with a bit of retro and techwear style. I trimmed this mint green wig for a long time; to make the layering look more natural, I gave it a slight wave perm, and the photo effect looks quite fluffy. The eye makeup specifically emphasized the smudging of blush and eyeshadow, highlighting that 2D sense of innocence.

There are actually quite a few details in the costume. The print on the pink camisole tank top is exquisite, and the small yellow bow tie at the chest is the finishing touch. The lace trim on the edge of the shorts also needs to be carefully arranged, otherwise it tends to roll over. The cutest part is the pink polka-dot backpack; carrying it instantly gives off that exact vibe. The blue-and-white striped sleeves and stockings paired together max out the summer feel. Today, we specially chose the pink wire mesh by the poolside as the background. The light and shadow cast through the grid by the sunlight are truly amazing, forming geometrically cut shapes on the ground and walls, adding a lot of visual layering.

During the shoot, the photographer @CatRefusedYou was great at candidly catching moments. We tried several interactions for this set of photos. For example, leaning against the wire mesh or semi-squatting by the low wall. Utilizing the leading lines of the architecture can make the composition more comfortable. When shooting similar scenes, everyone can try turning slightly sideways or putting the weight on one leg; this not only makes you look slimmer but also keeps the overall posture from looking too stiff. The posture in Figure 1 actually tests core strength quite a bit: one foot stepping on the step, hands relaxed, and the gaze carrying a slightly languid yet playful feel.

Going outdoors with this outfit is actually quite convenient with unrestricted movement, just as long as you are careful not to snag the accessories on the wire mesh. Chinatsu Remiel from Zenless Zone Zero is truly a setting worth trying, full of details, and the overall color matching photographs exceptionally well under the sunlight. The contact lenses chosen are light-colored with a slightly mixed-race feel, so matching them with mint green hair doesn't look abrupt. The choker and heart-shaped hair clip were also specially matched to restore the design settings. Actually, it was quite windy when shooting this set, and the wig constantly needed tidying up, but it also happened to capture moments where the hair was slightly blowing in the wind, making it feel exceptionally vivid. Light and shadow are truly the soul of photography; this afternoon's sunlight was somewhat slanted, just illuminating the facial contours while keeping the background pool in a bluish blurred state, making the main subject stand out prominently. If you are shooting outdoors, try to avoid the overhead noon light, which tends to leave deep shadows on the face; light around 3 or 4 p.m. like today's is the softest.

Sharing on pose guidance can be a bit more detailed. For example, when squatting in Figure 3, try to keep your back straight and shoulders slightly lowered, making the neck look sleeker and preventing the overall vibe from appearing shrinking or contracted. Hand movements can touch the hair or rest on the knees to give the frame more daily life flavor. Actually, shooting 2D cosplay requires a crucial element: a sense of belief. You must believe that you are that character in this scene, and your expression will naturally look organic. Chinatsu's expression tends to be cool and slightly tsundere, so I tried not to smile too exaggeratedly; slightly curving the corners of the mouth achieves the effect.

Speaking of clothing materials, this cotton tank top is very comfortable to wear in summer, but it is also prone to wrinkles. Be sure to use a garment steamer to iron it flat before shooting to keep the final photos refined. The matching shoes are light pink sneakers, echoing the bag and clothes, keeping the overall color palette controlled between pink, blue, and white, which looks very clean. In short, the cooperation with the photographer this time was extremely pleasant; not only was the shooting efficiency high, but communication was completely seamless, with many ideas matching instantly.
